Eligibility for assistance to those directly involved (East and West) in the Whakaari Eruption events The eligibility criteria (as last year) are the following:• Must be a first responder, DHB staff member directly involved in immediate treatment or GP practice teams called into assist with immediate treatment of victims. • The GP visit is directly related to the Whakaari disaster-the person, when making an appointment, state that they are seeking a GP consult because of the Whakaari event. • The person attends their GP practice of enrolment within normal operational hours. • The person must present identification e.g. organisational swipe card etc when presenting to reception at their usual GP practice. • Planning and Funding, via the PHO (the GP practice invoices the PHO), will cover the cost of the GP practice’s usual co-payment for a standard GP appointment. • The cover is for one GP appointment per eligible person. • This arrangement will be available for three months from 1 December 2020 until 26 February 2021.
