Exploring the experiences of people from the Indian Sub Continent, who have developed Type II Diabetes while prescribed atypical antipsychotic medications Hello & Kia Ora We are a team of Asian researchers led by Dr Rajendra Pavagada and Dr Lillian Ng (both consultant psychiatrists) based at Te Whatu Ora – Counties Manukau.
Participants will be asked to participate in: 1 one-on-one interview (15 to 30 mins). Location

Their experiences, attitudes, and views on supporting Indian patients who develop type II diabetes while taking atypical antipsychotic medications.
How to make things easier for them to care for these patients and their support persons.
How to support Te Whatu Ora – Counties Manukau mental health services to be more culturally responsive.
The interview will be by Zoom. Are you eligible: You are a secondary care mental health clinician, GP or primary care nurse. You have Indian patient who developed type II diabetes while prescribed atypical antipsychotic medications Participants will receive: $30 petrol voucher for attending the interview.
