Planning for your onsite workforce Please use the ‘Delivery settings and roles planning tool’ accessible through the Ministry’s Operations team to help plan for estimated staffing requirements. Ahead of a site opening, the Ministry recommends your workforce spends a shift with an existing clinic or hub to observe how it runs and the draw-up process. Accessing surge workforce DHBs have access to the national surge workforce register. If you’re a provider, contact your DHB to determine if you’re able to access the surge workforce. Workforce capacity You should consider how you’ll manage BAU activities while delivering COVID-19 vaccinations, including how sustainable it is to deliver BAU activities alongside vaccinations.
6. Engagement and invitation Joined up national and local communications plans - What to expect, where, when The National COVID-19 vaccination campaign will inform New Zealanders about the vaccination rollout, what group they’re in and likely timeframes for receiving their vaccination. The Ministry will lead national efforts to encourage vaccination uptake and understanding. The Ministry are developing invitation resources (such as templates) to support local engagement.
