Strategic Plan 2008 - 2011

“To serve the community – young people in particular – by providing a caring environment to encourage the development and personal growth of each individual” West Bromwich & District YMCA, Mission Statement

“The YMCA’s vision is of an inclusive Christian Movement, transforming communities so that all young people truly belong, contribute and thrive.” Vision Statement of the English YMCA Movement This Strategic Plan is designed to be a working document which will support the development and growth of the West Bromwich and District YMCA over the period 2008 – 2011, in support of the Vision and Mission Statements. Essentially there are two key components that drive the future activity of the Association, and the outcomes and outputs it achieves. The Strategic Plan is a three year plan which relates to the broad achievements the Board of Trustees has set for the Association and the status it expects the Association to have reached by March 2011. Each year a Business Plan is created to identify the specific tasks planned against each of the Strategic Plan Objectives over the coming twelve month period (and sometimes beyond). The Business Plan is monitored by the Board throughout the year and reviewed annually against the Strategic Objectives in order to determine Business Plan tasks for the following twelve month period.
