Reopening Las Vegas and Special Voting Information

Dear Candidates and our chamber members , We understand this year has brought many uncertainties. This has made reaching out to business and our community for voting purposes during this year’s primary elections difficult and shorter than normal. The Women’s Chamber of Commerce has created a special section for candidates that won in the June 9, 2020 Primary,” in the next WeeklyNewsBriefs for the upcoming November 3, 2020 election. Members and Readers, We are happy to report the Reopening of some of our Members of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Nevada. We realize at this time there are many important issues going on that need our immediate attention, so we created the best way we know to help our members and readers decide who they will vote in 2020 by giving you updated election information in this "Special Issue." We hope this helps you make an informed decision during this 2020 election. This issue will also offer our members an opportunity to promote their business to let the community know they are ready for future business. Our President, June has created this issue for the purpose of all Nevada Candidates and our members’ businesses who have lost a lot of revenue due to COVID-19 and now with the riots. We hope this “Special” issue will also provide all candidates the opportunity to regain the time lost and be able to be ‘seen’ in print in the public’s eye during the upcoming primary election. Members that are opening in Phase II Statement

The Women’s Chamber and our board members hope everyone stays safe. We are saddened that the peaceful protest for George Floyd has some bad people causing damage, harming people and destroying business that are just now starting to re-open. That’s not who we are as Nevadans. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family. Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Nevada© has been working remotely since March 17, 2020 and will to do so until until further notice, all board meeting will be held at Presidents/CEO residence. Safety first! We will resume our luncheon in July. It is unfortunate during these uncertain times judicial, assembly and senate candidates could not promote themselves and have been trying to make up for time lost by promoting through social media. Most people would much rather meet and talk to the candidates. Well Ms. Anita Laruy our Government Affairs Council Director, will be the Moderator for this 2020 Candidate Luncheon on 7-31-20 at Lawry’s The Prime Rib. Please go to our website to register for this event ASAP as we can only have 50 people maximum per CDC requirements. www.womenschamberofnevada.org
