For the fall of 2024, the Star Bright Players production is Urinetown, a sidesplitting sendup of greed, love, revolution (and musicals!), in a time when water is worth its weight in gold. Winner of three Tony Awards, three Outer Critics Circle Awards, two Lucille Lortel Awards and two Obie Awards, Urinetown provides a hilarious musical satire and fresh perspective on one of America’s greatest art forms in a hysterically funny and touchingly honest way. In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity’s most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides that he’s had enough and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom!
(This production is rated PG-13 by Music Theatre International.)

Based on the six-time Tony-Award-winning musical comedy, The Music Man KIDS features some of musical theatre’s most iconic songs and a story filled with wit, warmth and good old-fashioned romance. The Music Man KIDS is family entertainment at its best — a bold, brassy show that will have the whole town atwitter! Master showman Harold Hill is in town and he’s got “seventy-six trombones” in tow. Can upright, uptight Marian, the town librarian, resist his powerful allure? The story follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize. The catch? Mission Statement:
It is the goal of the Williamson County Community Chorus to engage passions, inspire achievement, deepen connections and broaden community through choral music.
The Williamson County Community Chorus was founded in 2017 under the direction of Dr. Linda Bolding. The chorus grew quickly and at only 2 years old was invited to sing at Carnegie Hall in February 2020. The chorus is open for participation by qualified High School students, adults and seniors who have past experience and a passion for singing. The chorus performs no less than twice a year at the culmination of each session: Fall/Winter (SeptDec) and Spring (Jan-April) and enjoys a break over the summer months. They have performed large scale concerts, singing with an orchestra, and most recently kicked off the Christmas season to an audience of nearly 800. We are delighted for the success of this group and invite residents to audition and to support us in the audience.
The chorus is directed by Karen Mabry Lewis, a veteran choral music educator from the Dallas area who obtained her BM degree with a concentration in Voice from Belmont University and a MM degree from SMU in Music Education and Vocal Performance. Join your favorite Arrendellian friends as we follow Olaf on an adventure into “The Nutcracker’s Land of Sweets!” Together we will learn about the new traditions, learn what’s most important and ring in the season. Rhythm & Spirit Dance Program invites dancers of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced to join us as we bring this winter ballet to life through the art of dance.
Taking part in the Winter Ballet is an amazing opportunity to work with new instructors, expand the dancer’s knowledge of classical ballet technique, and make new friends all while performing onstage! That said, it is a commitment to which we expect all participating dancers to feel a sense of personal responsibility in their success and pride for their hard work.

In this course, students will learn contemporary voice techniques and style. They’ll learn vocal exercises to build a strong voice foundation and have fun with vocal improvisations. We will work on two songs; each student will be assigned a part in the song, either as a soloist and/or part of the ensemble. The class caters to every level of musicianship, and by the end of it, the students will be able to support their voices and interpret the songs properly. Students will perform a song at the end of the class in front of their families. Instructor: Elena Degl’Innocenti

This piano group class will be structured as small interactive coaching classes. Students will use their iPad/tablet to access the music app that’s been selected to help with learning. The class is designed to give students exposure to piano and music, while mitigating the isolation aspect of individual piano coaching. Students will have the opportunity to learn scales and theory together. However, they will also be able to practice individual pieces that are assigned (or at times, pieces they have been allowed to choose). This class is designed to allow individual students to receive both coaching and peer support. Lastly these classes will allow each student to perform small increments of music for their group to build confidence and musicianship. Instructor: Andrea Nichole, The Allegro Music Academy
Note: Contact instructor at theallegromusicacademy70@gmail.com to discuss the student’s skill level to allow for proper level placement and registration information. For more information, contact Evan Smith at Evan.Smith@williamsoncounty-tn.gov

In this course, students will learn how to translate thoughts into words, and words into songs. This course will guide them in their journey to becoming great songwriters in their own right. Students bring in their own material and we help cultivate it and move it forward. This class incorporates songwriting and musicianship. If you are an aspiring songwriter, this is the course for you. Students are encouraged to bring their own instruments from home, whether its a ukulele, guitar, violin or simply your singing voice. Instructor: Jonathan Jimmerson

This class introduces children to the fundamentals of music and movement (rhythm, pitch, and melody) through fun songs and simple music games. Most songs are original songs written by Elena and some are drawn from old nursery rhymes and famous popular songs. Instruments will be provided (egg shakers, small hand drums, and tambourines). Songs will be played with guitar and some through a stereo. The class will end with a quiet-time lullaby so that the experience ends on a gentle note. You only need to register the child. This class is open to all parents or guardians (not just the Mother), but the ratio should be one guardian to one child. Instructor: Elena Degl’Innocenti
