"When my wife, Helen, was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2015, I was horrified to learn there was no cure available Currently more than 55 million people are affected by dementia worldwide Sadly, unless something changes, 1 in 3 people born today will die with dementia.

Formula 1 attracts the brightest and most creative minds –just like medical research. At Race Against Dementia, we support early career scientists both here in the UK and across the world. Applying an F1 problem-solving mindset, we want them to accelerate research and make significant breakthroughs to cure or prevent dementia.
