Good evening and welcome to Laithwaites Wine Race Evening with our Gin Thursday Finale! This evening’s fixture is our first meeting without a restricted capacity since 2020, although we will continue to adhere to some of the safety procedures around the site which we hope gives you confidence as we emerge from the pandemic. Hopefully you are joining us with work colleagues, friends or family and make sure to pay a visit to our dedicated Gin Bar, located in the Crafty Filly, where you will find over 25 speciality gins on offer, including non-alcoholic variations, and all G&T’s are just £6! You can also enjoy live acoustic music on the Crafty Filly terrace throughout the evening, followed by our after-party with Resident DJ Moonraker playing you through to 10pm. There is plenty of outdoor seating around the site both near the parade ring and trackside, so please do make use of it. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank tonight’s sponsors, Laithwaites Wine, Veolia and the EBF for their ongoing and generous support. With the relaxation of restrictions, we are looking forward to the rest of the summer here at Newbury, including our two Party in the Paddock events. Kicking off with Olly Murs on Saturday 14 August, live on BetVictor Hungerford Day, followed by Rick Astley on Saturday 18 September, performing live after racing on Dubai Duty Free International Saturday. Tickets are selling fast for both these events, with the advanced saver for Olly Murs closing in just over a week and limited Premier tickets remaining, so make sure you get your tickets at the best price possible! Thank you for choosing to spend your evening with us. I hope you have an enjoyable and profitable time, and that you will be back with us again very soon.
