ABOUT SUMWORKS We strive to create beautiful, sustainable, and functional spaces for our clients in Bahrain and the GCC.
We manage each projects creativity individually whilst standardising project management to achieve top quartile delivery.

VALUE DRIVERS COLLABORATION Our ongoing collaboration with CTZ STUDIO DI ARCHITETTURA based in Florence, Italy, brings together a wealth of experience to the benefits of our clients. We aim to deploy the best local interior design talents on our projects and source the majority of the materials locally.

MESSAGE We aspire at SUMWORKS to become part of the growing culture of design and aesthetic in the gulf and middle east while promoting ecological consciousness in the process. Simplicity, functionality and sustainability are the key factors in our designs.
WORK EXPERIENCE Professional Interior designer with significant project experience in Dubai, Bahrain and Italy. Completed higher education in interior design in 2009, specializing in retail & commercial interior design whilst working at studio CTZ in Florence, Italy. Exposed to landmark projects including Lime Tree Valley, Al Furjan & The Palm during my work tenure in Dubai. Worked with international designers on projects such as Zain & DWP head offices in Bahrain.

WORK EXPERIENCE Professional Engineer with extensive major infrastructure & Oil and Gas projects delivery experience within the G.C.C. and abroad. Past assignments on greenfield onshore (Majnoon First Commercial Production) & offshore (Al Shaheen Field Development) capital projects. (Headline $4bln)
MAHMOOD ABDULAAL PROJECT DIRECTOR
Previous roles include New Business Development, HSE,Logistics & Infrastructure assignments supporting Joint Ventures in the MENA region. The portfolio lead in the world’s largest Gas to Liquid plant responsible for delivering a vast portfolio of projects to close a major chapter in the history of the Pearl Gas to Liquid plant.

INTERIOR DESIGN CONSULTATION PRE-DESIGN AND RESEARCH
PLANNING & CONCEPT DESIGN
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
To acquire customer input, determine estimated fit out budget, gather site information, collaborate with project stakeholders, establish communication protocols, prepare an overall interior design program.
Space planning & furniture layouts. Present concept, 3D renderings, preliminary color pallets, hard finishes, furniture and lighting selections, preliminary floor, wall & ceiling designs.
Freeze layout. Present the final materials, joinery, furniture and lighting selections, built-ins and cabinetry. Finalize floor, wall & ceiling designs.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT & DESIGN SUPERVISION Detailed Design Development On approval of final design; drawings, schedules and specifications of hard finishes and FF&E for the purpose of fabrication/construction/installation and procurement will be issued to the client.
Design Supervision Site visits at regular intervals for quality inspections, respond to contractor site technical queries and monitor progress to ensure timely and cost efficient execution.
