Canoe Be a Leader Challenge You have expressed in the “Canoe Be a Leader Challenge”. The “Canoe Be a Leader Challenge” Challenge was designed to exchange volunteer hours for money to go to a Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana Resident Camp Program (either at Bear Creek Aquatic Camp or Camp Pennyroyal.) For every hour of service that you provide to your community, we will give you a dollar for you summer camp experience! You can earn up to $150 towards you summer camp fees! You could provide service in many different capacities. c Some examples are: soup kitchens, nursing homes, pet rescues, hospitals, community clean-ups, clean as well many others. Any hours accumulated starting in August, 2010 2010- April 1st 2011 can be used for the “Canoe Be a Leader Challenge”. To earn your CampCash ampCash you will need to fill out the sheets that are included in this packet. Each time you volunteer please fill out a volunteer slip. You will fill out one of these slips for each different volunteering experience that you have. Then fill out the ttime ime sheet to show all of the hours you have worked over the year. Submit the entire packet by April 1st, and for each hour that you have volunteered one dollar will be credited to your 2011 resident camp fees! So what you need to do:
1. Volunteer as much as possible! Try your hand at many different volunteering opportunities! Try and concentrate on what you can be doing to make the world a better place!
2. Fill out "Volunteer Slips" as you go! As you are doing your volunteer hours, make sure to keep track of your progress. Really try to concentrate on what you learned, and how it is making you a better leader!
3. Fill out your timesheet and send in your packet: Your Timesheet and Volunteer Slips are due by April 1st. Please send all packets to Christy Dupin, PO Box 32335, Louisville, KY 40232. Your Camp Cash will be immediately credited to your Resident Camp fees.
