Troop Adventure Camp (TAC)
Camp Pennyroyal, Entering grades 1-12. (Must be 6 years old prior to the TAC session.) Come with your troop to a Troop Adventure Camp (TAC) session at resident camp. You’ll participate in summer camp programs such as swimming, singing, canoeing, kayaking, campfires, games, arts & crafts, and an all-camp activity. Summer camp staff will provide food, supplies, and programs for all Girl Scout troop levels. Your troop will try out a variety of activities each day. Meals will be served resident camp style. Troops will live together in platform tents or open-air cabin units. Remember, we’re rustic! (See page 7 for Camp Pennyroyal site information.)
Leader Notes
Please make sure to register the required number of adults in order to meet the ratios specified in Safety-Wise. You must have at least two adults registered to attend TAC (page 29 of the camp brochure). Troops not meeting the required adult ratios may not attend Troop Adventure Camp. Leaders are responsible for supervising girls and managing behavior at all times. Our camp staff will facilitate your programs, but they do not live in the units during TAC. Troop leaders are not required to have the Outdoor Training Certification. Tag-aLongs (younger children of leaders) may not attend Troop Adventure Camp. All TAC participants must be registered Girl Scouts. The bus is not available for Troop Adventure Camp. Troops will most likely share tents or cabins with other troops. Specific details will be provided to leaders in an information packet after registration.
Please Note: We will do our best to place you in the session you have requested.
