POWER / LIGHTING
If you wish to have access to power/lighting you may purchase our power/lighting package at £12 per day +VAT.
This will include basic ambient lighting and you will have 2kW of electricity available via a standard 13A socket for which you may bring a 4 socket extension lead.

All electrical equipment used on site at the Chichester Cathedral Christmas Market must have a valid PAT certificate. This includes all used and new items. If you are a client that requires well lit stock ie jewellery we do suggest you bring additional lighting but you will need to submit to us a lighting form with details of what additional lights you will be bringing so we can cross check with the electrical contractor in advance of the event. This form will be provided at the point of booking.
DUE TO THE 2KW SUPPLY LIMIT, IF YOUR CHALET HAS AN ELECTRIC TRIPPING ISSUE CAUSED BY OVERLOADING WE WILL NOTIFY YOU OF AN ELECTRIC CALL OUT CHARGE AND THESE MONIES WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM YOUR SECURITY BOND. OUR HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER WILL BE CARRYING OUR SPOT CHECKS THROUGHOUT THE EVENT TO ENSURE THESE POINTS ARE BEING ADHERED TO.
WE HAVE DECIDED TO HAVE A “NO HEATER” POLICY AFTER MUCH CONSULTATION WITH THE COUNCIL, HEALTH AND SAFETY TEAMS AND THE CATHEDRAL MANAGEMENT. THIS IS DUE TO THE FIRE RISKS ASSOCIATED AND BECAUSE OF THE MAIN POWER SOURCE COMING FROM A GENERATOR NOT A MAINS SUPPLY.
