UTICA, OH - Velvet Ice Cream has been in the ice cream business for over 100 year. Founded in 1914 by first generation ice cream maker, Joseph Dager, Velvet is a beloved staple of Midwest ice cream lovers. Headquartered on a 20 acre property called the Ye Olde Mill, today Velvet is run by the fourth generation of the Dager family and is a 100% woman owned business. Velvet also has Ohio’s only ice cream museum, offering visitors a history of their business, as well as the evolution of ice cream in America.
