Break it up If you have large space that feels too sparse, start by thinking about what activities you or your family enjoy doing in that area and divide the space into zones. For example, do you want a separate reading nook? Or enough seating for the family to gather to watch television or play board games? Then go and find those (or similar) products on display so you can feel the quality and get a sense of how the product feels as you use it. Painting your tiles may sound strange but it is a very cost effective and simple way to completely and quickly refresh your bathroom. Replace your vanity Removing your old vanity and replacing it with a new one will instantly make your bathroom feel like it’s had a full renovation. A wall mounted floating vanity will also open up the feel of a small bathroom space by adding more floor area. However, if your budget doesn’t allow for a purchase of a new vanity, then look to ways to repurpose your old one or even an existing piece of furniture. Keep in mind the size of the area and the plumbing needs. Sometimes the simplest tasks are the most rewarding You can renew your bathroom and give a sense of a complete upgrade, just by re-grouting your tiles. If your tiles are still in good condition, they may simply need to be re-grouted in order to make

Neatening up Weeds compete for water so rid your garden of weeds before you go. Mowing the lawns just before you leave means tidier lawns when you return, and you will also have grass clippings to use as mulch to help keep your soil cool and moist. Stake and re-tie any plants that require support. Ensure that any fruit that matures while you’re away is held off the ground and not putting strain on your plants. Harvest anything that is nearly
ripe, and if you’re away for longer, consider removing immature fruit as well. Watering Start watering more deeply and less frequently as early in the season as you can. This encourages plants to send roots deeper and means they’ll cope better for periods without water than those whose roots are near the surface due to light and frequent watering. The last thing before you leave, water your plants deeply and spread a thick layer of grass clippings or other mulch over the soil.
