BUSINESS PARK BEGINS MAJOR PROJECT WILL BRING JOBS TO PENRITH Construction on Nepean Business Park is officially underway with site rehabilitation work kicking off. The business park is set to create more than 18,000 direct and indirect jobs. Penrith MP and Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney, Stuart Ayres, and Penrith Mayor Ross Fowler last month announced the commencement of the Nepean Business Park project that is funded by Australian firm Precinct Capital. Mr Ayres and Mr Fowler made their announcement separately in compliance with social distancing requirements caused by the Coronavirus pandemic and cancellation of a planned ‘sod- turning’ business and media event. This followed the formal signing of a contract with Penrith- based Baker Group to undertake stage one rehabilitation works. Rehabilitation works on a 47ha former quarry site adjacent to the Sydney International Regatta Centre and the North Penrith employment area is expected to take 18 months to two years to complete before building construction work starts.
The project is expected to cost $613 million and will generate $2 billion in economic activity during construction. Once operational, the park will generate $295 million in wages and contribute $500 million annually to the Penrith economy.
“In these times, good news is particularly important when it comes to business and jobs creation. This is a critical project that is starting at a critical time and it’s important we record the commencement,” Precinct Capital Project Director Dylan Baudinet said. Mr Ayres said he was delighted

When you think about wallpaper, does it conjure up memories of the 70s and the brown, yellow and orange combination on the dining room walls of your family home? Well fear not as wallpaper has come a long way since then! Adding wallpaper to a room can transform the space from dull and beige to a much more interesting and luxurious space. How do you choose the right pattern and colour for your room? Firstly think about the type of mood you are trying to set in the room. If it’s a bedroom wall you want to wallpaper behind the bedhead you may choose something soft and relaxing or you may want to go all out with Pink Flamingos! If it’s a living or dining room you might want to use a bold stripe on one wall which can give a more formal and opulent look.
Wallpaper can give a room more depth. Just be aware of natural light and the size of the room. If you use a dark wallpaper it will absorb the light and can make the space feel smaller and darker. Before you decide on what paper to use, do some research online. There are many different types of wallpaper including removable, compostable, pre - glued and unpasted. If you are hanging something you think might date
or you may eventually get tired of, I would suggest the removable wallpaper – it will save you a lot of hard work later. If you’re not confident enough to attempt hanging the wallpaper yourself, you’re not alone!
