DIGNITY AND RESPECT NEW CRYPT DEVELOPMENT SET TO OPEN An exclusive, new crypt development at Pinegrove Memorial Park, Minchinbury, will be the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere when it opens on September 30. Five years in the making, the Terra Santa crypt complex is the latest addition to Pinegrove Memorial Park and features 924 crypt spaces, including family vaults.

Pinegrove Memorial Park Family Services Manager Michael Bridges said Terra Santa’s design incorporated an inside mausoleum and outside open courtyard. He said the complex had enough crypts available for the next five years. “There is also capacity for another complex to be built to provide for future generations,” he said. The new crypt complex is located in Memories 7, a central location within Pinegrove Memorial Park next to other crypt areas and mausoleums, and close to the north and west chapels. Mr Bridges said crypts, chambers for above ground burials, were an everlasting place of remembrance where families could be together. “They provide dignity, peace and comfort for families where future generations can pay their respects,” Mr Bridges said. “Terra Santa, meaning Holy Land, offers a modern place of tranquillity to reflect.” The development showcases a modern design incorporating environmental aspects such as natural light, covered walkways
and featured courtyard areas. There is also water features, gardens, bronze art, and detailed landscaping. Mr Bridges said Terra Santa had been on pre-sale for the past two years with more than 24 per cent of the complex already sold. “Many families have returned to purchase more crypts for the

Those lyrics in the classic golden oldie hit song ‘Shop Around’ make plenty of sense to mortgage holders with home loan interest rates continuing to be at record lows. The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) has set the official cash rate at the historical low of 0.25 per cent, prompting interest rates on variable and fixed rate mortgages to tumble. As a result, many home loan borrowers (particularly those who have maintained employment) are looking to refinance due to the low rates as well as the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The potential savings for the average Australian borrower who
is prepared to shop around for a better deal are significant. According to data from financial comparison site Finder, the average user’s home loan interest rate is 3.3 per cent, while figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics show the average Australian refinances a $443,858 loan. With mortgage rates currently available in the low 2.0 per cent range, refinancing $443,858 from a 3.3 per cent rate to the lower range over 20 years can potentially save you more than $60,000. WE ALL FALL IN LOVE WITH DIFFERENT VIBES Have you ever wondered what style you are and never quite figured it out? We all have a style. There are quizzes you can take online to help you find your style and if you still struggle, it might be worth hiring an interior designer to help. Our style is eclectic. We’ve always known this in our staging of properties as we don’t have one particular style (we love bits of all of them). Eclectic style is when you use different styles, patterns, colours or textures and pull them together cohesively so that it just works! We also use natural elements such as wood, plants and cottons. It’s OK to use a modern lounge with a classic style chair, the trick is not to overdo it so it feels cluttered! Coastal is another style we also love. This consists of a light palette to start with – light coloured walls and floors. White furniture and linen, wicker, blue tones, white washed timbers, and greenery are all tell tale traits of a coastal style. Keep it light and airy with introduction of colour here and there. Who doesn’t want to feel like they’re at the beach? Minimalist is just what the name suggests! Clean lines, minimal decorations (no clutter whatsoever), one or two colours at most, geometrical shapes, functional and more about the architecture. You would think that this design style would be the easiest to achieve given it has a less is more approach but the opposite can be true. Not done well, a minimalist space can end up feeling cold and underwhelming.
