Styling is easy, work with black and grey interiors. Alternatively, bring colour back the space by selecting colourful soft furnishings that will act as a fun feature look.

than going to the expense of the real thing,” Ms Taylor said.

Tile-themed wallpaper and its simplified, struc tured design is on trend. Geometric arrangements with monochrome colour schemes offer pattern and routine, bringing a sense of tradition and comfort to rooms.

MORE RATE PAIN IS COMING FOR BORROWERS
Broking Breakdown has spent a week checking out economic matters across the ditch where New Zealand’s central bank has been dishing out much tougher medicine to mortgage holders than the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA).
While I was in the land of the long white cloud, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) announced a record increase to its official cash rate of three quarters of a percentage point, taking it to 4.25 per cent with predictions it could reach a peak of 5.5 per cent.
RBNZ Governor Adrian Orr admitted the cash rate needed to go higher than previously forecast, and quicker than first thought, to fight runaway infla tion currently at 7.2 per cent. The central bank’s battle with inflation is likely to send New Zealand into a recession in the second quarter of 2023.
The RBNZ only deliberates on the cash rate seven times a year, unlike the RBA board which meets 11 times. The RBNZ’s rate hiking started well before the RBA, which currently has a cash rate of 3.1 per cent.
But RBA Governor Dr Philip Lowe has given a strong indica tion of more pain for borrowers when the central bank meets for the last time this year on Tuesday.
In a speech last week, Dr Lowe said Australians need to get used to higher interest rates,
inflation, high energy prices and low wages for the next couple of years.
The RBA Governor also said workers’ demands for more money to combat the soaring cost-of-living would only back fire and threaten to repeat the high inflation of the 1970s and 1980s.
“If we all buy into the idea that wages have to go up to compen sate people for inflation it will be painful, so best avoid that,” he said.
Dr Lowe raised the possibility of a recession if inflation was not brought under control. He also cited global tensions including the war in Ukraine, ageing populations, rising energy costs and the increase in extreme weather events as continuing economic chal lenges. The RBA could raise interest rates 50 basis points next week.

BATH TYPES:
Freestanding - These baths just sit on your floor, with no walls or frame to support them. The only downside with a freestanding bath is you don’t have room to place things around it.
Inset - Sits within a frame which is usually tiled. If you’ve got limited space, you can install this type of bath with a shower overhead.
Back-to-Wall Freestanding Baths - A great option for people who have their heart set on a freestanding bath, but with the convenience of a shelf to put your items on.
Corner Bath - These are triangular in shape & pushed into a corner of your bathroom. A little less common these days. Speak to your local Cook’s Showroom Consultant who will help you with your bath requirements!
STC’s or Small Scaled Technology Certificates are an incentive provided by the Federal Government to assist with the uptake of Solar Systems with most retailers offering them as an upfront discount.
1. Determined by the size of the Solar System (panels) and where you reside in Australia.
2. Do not end until 2030. They do gradually reduce each year up to then, on the 1st of January.
3. You can claim for multiple installations on the one address. That is if you are looking to upgrade an older system for a newer, larger system you may well be able to claim the rebate again – and again. There are some requirements for this.
4. Systems do need to be designed and installed by trained and licensed tradespeople.

A mineral pool is similar to a salt pool but it uses a mixture of Salt (Sodium Chloride) , Magnesium, Potassium and sometimes Borate.
Swimming in a Mineral Pool has great health benefits. You can find yourself sleeping better. The water will feel softer. Your eyes shouldn’t hurt and get itchy. Your hair won’t get as tangled and you won’t have that “crusty” feeling on your skin after a swim.
There are no special machines to buy to convert your pool to a mineral pool and the process can be done gradually as well. Simply add the minerals to the water instead of using traditional salt. Over time the mineral concentration will increase and you will be feeling the benefits of the transition.
