LISTEN TO THE EXPERTS PASSIONATE DUO’S WINNING DESIGN TIPS There is a lot involved in designing and building a new home, but two Penrith locals are providing their wealth of expertise to help homeowners through the process from start to finish. Sarah Jobse and Heather Gampe, the duo behind Oak & Orange have always had a passion for property and design so they decided to launch their own online video series as a way of sharing their knowledge with others.

“For the past 10 years Heather and I have built over 15 homes with our builder husbands either to live in or sell, these experiences allow us to share all the important tips for people building or renovating,” Mrs Jobse said.

This Sunday is D- Day in the economic response to the COVID19 pandemic in Australia when the Federal Government’s JobKeeper program winds up. Despite calls from the Federal Opposition to continue the scheme (although they don’t say for how long), Federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg insists JobKeeper is only a temporary measure and the program (which was already extended six months) will end on March 28. As we have pointed out previously, the stimulus packages which have enabled businesses impacted by the Coronavirus to access fortnightly subsidies from the Federal Government to continue paying their employees has been a great success.

The latest figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics show the national unemployment rate has fallen to 5.8 per cent, with almost 90,000 Australians either finding or increasing work in the first two months of 2021. To assist businesses who have been reliant on JobKeeper, the Government has revamped its loan scheme for small-to-medium sized business. Loans of up to $5 million are available to around 350,000 businesses and will be 80 per cent backed by the Government. This scheme was originally launched a year ago offering credit of up to $250,000 for five-year terms. However, only $2 billion from the available $40 billion was used in the first six months as

businesses were cautious about taking on debt during COVID-19. Analysts are more confident about the revamped scheme being more successful if businesses are willing to back themselves in the hope we are well on the road to normality with vaccinations in progress. Business operators considering taking up a Government loan are well advised to reach out to a finance broker to assist with the process. Mark’s Shout Josh Frydenberg believes Australia’s economy is the best placed in the world to recover from the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic. The next few months will show whether that prediction is accurate.

“Mixers” allow for hot and cold water to be mixed and controlled via a single function. They can be found in the bathroom, kitchen, laundry, and even outdoors. Mixer selection is a little more complicated than it looks though. Wall mixers can be used in bathrooms over basins too.
