ORIGINAL AND PRACTICAL OAK AND ORANGE REVEAL LATEST PROPERTY Design duo, Heather Gampe and Sarah Jobse of Oak and Orange are in the process of revealing their latest project located in Mulgoa. The Penrith locals, who have built over 20 houses in the last decade with their builder husbands, have documented the process of designing and building the coastal farmhouse which is being shared in their online video series. An original design, the open plan home combines a modern coastal palette with traditional farmhouse design elements. Ms Gampe said the coastal farmhouse design has well thought out practical elements, but also delivers a beautiful and timeless style. “We pride ourselves on designing homes that have character and personality but without compromising on practicality and functionality,” Ms Gampe said. “It’s important to factor in a low maintenance design to create a family sanctuary for everyday living, not just a magazine.” With a relaxed signature style,
the women embraced soft and neutral tones with hints of greens, inspired by the local bush. “We like to take inspiration from the surrounds, this home is located on the outskirts of Sydney in a semi-rural setting,” Ms Jobse said. “Given it’s a brand-new build we were adamant we wanted to add elements that made it feel more cosy and homely.” With an island inviting family and guests to congregate, Ms Jobse said the kitchen is a stand out with old world rustic charm, fresh features and high quality Westinghouse appliances. “It’s not a dream home unless it’s low maintenance and easy to clean leaving you more time to spend with your loved ones,” she said. “ We love the touch-of-a-button self-cleaning oven feature and chose matte dark stainless finishes over gloss, as they’re easier to clean and fit in perfectly with the vision we had for the kitchen.” Visit www.oakandorange.com. au.

This was a buoyant period for the industry with ongoing government stimulus measures and record low interest rates combining to drive consumer sentiment and the domestic residential property market. The report found the number of brokers writing commercial and equipment loans hit a new high, up by four per cent from the previous six months to 4,727, or 27.9 per cent of brokers.
