TURNING BACK TIME Today we turn the clock back 70 years, checking out the Emu Plains A Grade cricket team from 1951. This photograph, taken by Len Hutchison, shows a team that features plenty of famous Emu Plains names. Back row left to right are Ray Hill, Jack Cashen, Laurie Rudd, John Jones, Gordon Stevens, Len Hutchison, Ross White and Perce Dukes. Front row left to right are Jack Hayward, Les Dukes, Irwin Curry, Mary Dukes and William Dukes. What a fantastic blast from the past! Cricket has played such a huge role in Penrith’s sporting history, especially in Emu Plains.
