Health services to merge Health officials and board representatives from the respective groups, working on the proposal for three years, have confirmed they have ministerial approval for the move. The merger will create an organisation that provides on-site health services in the west Wimmera centres
of Nhill, Jeparit, Kaniva, Rainbow, Goroke and Natimuk and the east Wimmera Dunmunkle towns of Murtoa, Rupanyup and Minyip. It means all Dunmunkle services, previously operating as part of Wimmera Health Care Group, will be under West Wimmera service administration. West Wimmera Health Service chief executive John Smith said parties were now simply waiting for a formal sign-off by Health Minister Jill Hennessy. “We have strong support from the minister and we are all quite excited
