ASHRAE design conditions for this location are 36.6°F heating (99.6%) and 91.4°F/77.5°F (DB/ WB) cooling (1%). Transsolar Energietechnik GmbH – Curiestraße 2 – 70563 Stuttgart – tel.: 0711 67976-0 – fax: 0711 67976-11 Annual temperatures show a daily temperature swing of ~20°F through most of the year, with temperatures often dropping below 30°F in the evening in the winter. This pattern illustrates excellent potential for night cooling from April through October. Natural ventilation potential is greatest in the summer months and early spring. The psychrometric chart shows a large number of hours with outdoor conditions within, or just cooler than, the ASHRAE-recommended comfort ranges. Increasing the indoor air velocity during these hours will allow for comfort with natural ventilation for many spaces, and can be easily accomplished with the use of ceiling fans.
