COMING EVENTS AT THE THEATRE G AN EVENIN MAS OF CHRIST CHEER
Producer: The Not So Grand Players Director: Terry Wilson Performances: December 4, 5, at 7:00 p.m. This annual Not So Grand Players event is always a highlight of the Fergus Grand Theatre winter season. Many familiar faces of this happy singing group of performers appear on stage in A Christmas Variety Show with popular music, audience participation and feature acts. Regular admission is $12 and tickets for young people ages 6 to 12 are $8.00. Tickets are available on line at www.fergusgrandtheatre.ca
Producer: Climbing Vine Productions Director: Rachel Behling Performances: December 10, 11, 12 at 8:00 p.m. Anne and her family moved from Germany to Amsterdam in 1933, the same year as the Nazis gained power in Germany. By the beginning of 1940 they were trapped in Amsterdam due to the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. As persecutions of the Jewish population increased in July 1942, the family went into hiding in the hidden rooms of her father Otto Frank's office building. After two years, the group was betrayed and transported to concentration camps. Seven months after her arrest, Anne Frank died of typhus in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. The diary, which was given to Anne on her 13th birthday, chronicles her life from 12 June 1942 until 1 August 1944. It has been translated into many languages, has become one of the world's most widely read books, and has been the basis for several plays and films. Anne Frank has been acknowledged for the quality of her writing, and has become one of the most renowned and most discussed victims of the Holocaust
THE DIARY OF ANNE FRA NK
Director: Bronwyn Allen Hill Performances: February 5, 6, 11, 12 & 13 at 8:00 p.m. February 7 at 2:00 p.m.
PE HAVING HO AT HOME
raig by David S. C
Carolyn is obviously with child and her maternal instinct leads her to think she can feather her nest by rebuilding her strained relationship with her snooty, disapproving parents. Jane and Bill haven’t seen their daughter for three years, ever since she escaped their smothering expectations and headed for a simpler life on her grandfather’s dairy farm with her francophone boyfriend, Michel. Minutes before they are to arrive for dinner, or what she calls “a high-level peace summit,” Carolyn is literally floored by her first contraction. A side-splitting look at a family learning to love again. With a baby about to arrive, modern medicine meets midwifery head on in a torrent of family feuding. As tensions rise between three dysfunctional generations, so does the laughter. It takes a baby to heal the rift in this funny, heart-warming story of forgiveness and hope.
Producer: Vision Theatre Productions Director: Jennifer Jensen Dates: March 25, 26, 27 at 8:00 p.m. March 28 at 2:00 p.m. This Agatha Christie popular whodunit is the next in Vision Theatre’s popular annual mystery event. The play is based on Christie's best-selling novel with 100 million sales to date, making it the world's best-selling mystery and the seventh most popular book in all time. Several people, who previously committed murder but escaped due to technicalities, are tricked into coming onto an island. Even though the guests are the only people on the island, they are all mysteriously murdered in the manner of the nursery rhyme ‘one by one’.

COMING EVENTS AT THE THEATRE CENTRE WELLINGTON CHILDREN’S DRAMA CLUB
The Centre Wellington Children’s Drama Club return to the Fergus Grand Theatre in April for their two annual presentations. The Monday night groups will be on stage Saturday April 17 with matinee and evening performances. The Tuesday night group will follow the next week end on Saturday April 24 also with a matinee and evening show.
Director: Michelle Kreitzer Dates: May 7, 8, 13, 14 & 15 at 8:00 p.m. May 9 at 2:00 p.m. When lovely young Gideon Hollis a.k.a. Giddy spots an unconscious man in a tank top and shorts lying in Copley Square just after all other Boston Marathon racers have crossed the finish line, she reasons that since nice guys finish last, this must be Mr. Right! She has a helpful policeman tote him to her nearby apartment, shocking her roommate whose fiancé is due for a dinner date. When the comatose dreamboat revives and cannot remember who he is, Giddy tells him they are married and regrets her subterfuge when he tries to be a loving husband. Complications escalate at a furious pace in this outrageous concoction of wild, warm, and lightning paced hilarity that is perfect for the entire family. aquatics General Pool Information: Did you know....? Private Rentals
Private Lessons
• A private pool rental is a great way to celebrate a birthday, or host a special event. Rental times are available Saturday and Sundays between 4:00pm-5:00pm. Call the Supervisor of Aquatic Services (519-843-2800) for more information.
• Private lessons run in the same 9 lesson format as all other lessons. If this doesn’t fit your schedule, we do offer “one time” private lessons. For more information call the Supervisor of Aquatic Services, (519) 843-2800.
Strollers
• Looking for gift ideas? Why not purchase swim tickets or passes for Aquatic programs? Inquire by phone (519) 843-2800.
• Due to their size, and the possibility of restricting change room exits, unattended strollers are to be left in the area by the pool office. We apologize for the inconvenience, however we need to ensure all exits are maintained free of obstructions in case of an evacuation is required.
Deck Supervisor • During swimming lessons there is a deck supervisor that oversees all the lessons. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s progress they are available to answer your questions.
Spectators • Spectators are welcome to watch from the spectator gallery. Viewing lessons from the pool deck is not permitted.
Volunteer • Are you looking for an opportunity to volunteer? There are volunteer opportunities available in the Aquatic Centre. We prefer volunteers with some aquatic background (Bronze Cross or Assistant water safety instructors). If interested please call the Sportsplex, (519) 843-2800 and speak with the Supervisor of Aquatic Services.

Swim Lesson Progressions: • Did you know your child may repeat a level 3 or 4 times before completing all of the requirements successfully? When registering your children please ensure you register them in the correct level. Swimming skills build from one level to the next. If your child hasn’t completed a level, they will not have the skills they need for the next level.
Not sure what level to register in? Please call the Sportsplex (519) 843-2800 to arrange a time for a FREE SKILLS ASSESSMENT by one of our Aquatic Staff.
Missed Classes • If you miss a scheduled lesson we are unable to make them up.
Transfers • You can switch classes prior to the start of the third lesson if there is space available.
cancelled approximately 1 week before programs start. Register early to avoid disappointment.
Diapers •As a courtesy to all we request and require that all children who are not toilet trained wear specially designed swimming diapers. The Aquatic Centre has both disposable and reusable swim diapers available at our administration desk.
Other Tips: If possible, please refrain from feeding your child a large meal prior to their swimming lesson.
Family Lessons: Do you have difficulty coordinating all of your children’s swimming lessons? We are offering a new format of swimming lessons on Monday and Friday evenings. We will be offering all swimming levels at the same time. You can register all of your children for lessons at the same time. PLEASE NOTE: In order to coordinate this instructors will teach multi level classes. Your children could be in a split class. Lessons will be 45 minutes in length to provide more practice time for swimmers.
Free Public Swimming • The NEWDON INDUSTRIES LTD PUBLIC SWIM will provide free admission to the first 40 children and youth entering the 2:00 pm to 3:55 pm public swim on the first Saturday of each month.
