SKATING CALENDAR AND FREE SKATE DATES
Ingredients:
1/2 cup softened vegan butter or margarine
(can also use coconut oil but add 1 tbsp water)
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup candy canes (5 mini or 1-2 large) crushed
1/4 cup plant-based milk ( I use almond)
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/3 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350º F (180º C).
Cream together butter and sugar.
Add milk and vanilla and combine.
Add half the flour, baking powder and baking soda and combine.
Add the rest of the flour and the cocoa powder and stir to form a dough.
Add chocolate chips. Roll into balls and dip into the crushed candy cane so the tops are covered.
Bake on a baking tray for 10-12 minutes.
