March 28 at 2:00 p.m This Agatha Christie popular whodunit is the next in Vision Theatre’s popular annual mystery event. The play is based on Christie's best-selling novel with 100 million sales to date, making it the world's best-selling mystery and the seventh most popular book in all time. Several people, who previously committed murder but escaped due to technicalities, are tricked into coming onto an island. COMING EVENTS AT THE THEATRE CENTRE WELLINGTON CHILDREN’S DRAMA CLUB

The Centre Wellington Children’s Drama Club return to the Fergus Grand Theatre in April for their two annual presentations. The Monday night groups will be on stage Saturday April 17 with matinee and evening performances. The Tuesday night group will follow the next weekend on Saturday April 24 also with a matinee and evening show. Tickets are available on line at www.fergusgrandtheatre.ca

Director: Michelle Kreitzer Dates: May 7, 8, 13, 14 & 15 at 8:00 p.m. May 9 at 2:00 p.m. When lovely young Gideon Hollis a.k.a. Giddy spots an unconscious man in a tank top and shorts lying in Copley Square just after all other Boston Marathon racers have crossed the finish line, she reasons that since nice guys finish last, this must be Mr. Right! She has a helpful policeman tote him to her nearby apartment, shocking her roommate whose fiancé is due for a dinner date. When the comatose dreamboat revives and cannot remember who he is, Giddy tells him they are married and regrets her subterfuge when he tries to be a loving husband. Complications escalate at a furious pace in this outrageous concoction of wild, warm, and lightning paced hilarity that is perfect for the entire family. Tickets and further information available at the theatre 519-787-1981 as well as on line at www.fergusgrandtheatre.ca.

Deck Supervisor • During swimming lessons there is a deck supervisor that oversees all the lessons. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s progress they are available to answer your questions.

Swim Lesson Progressions: • Did you know your child may repeat a level 3 or 4 times before completing all of the requirements successfully? When registering your children please ensure you register them in the correct level. Swimming skills build from one level to the next. If your child hasn’t completed a level, they will not have the skills they need for the next level.

Not sure what level to register in? Please call the Sportsplex (519) 843-2800 to arrange a time for a FREE SKILLS ASSESSMENT by one of our Aquatic Staff.

Missed Classes • If you miss a scheduled lesson we are unable to make them up.

Transfers • You can switch classes prior to the start of the third lesson if there is space available.

Cancelled Classes

cancelled approximately 1 week before programs start. Register early to avoid disappointment.

Diapers •As a courtesy to all we request and require that all children who are not toilet trained wear specially designed swimming diapers. The Aquatic Centre has both disposable and reusable swim diapers available at our administration desk.

Other Tips: If possible, please refrain from feeding your child a large meal prior to their swimming lesson.

Family Lessons Do you have difficulty coordinating all of your children’s swimming lessons? We offer an alternative format of swimming lessons on Monday and Friday evenings called “Family Lessons”. We offer all swimming levels at the same time. You can coordinate all your children’s lessons’ to take place at the same time. PLEASE NOTE: In order to coordinate this, instructors will teach multi level classes. Your children will likely be in a split class. Lessons will be 45 minutes in length to provide additional practice time for swimmers.

Free Public Swimming • Beginning in January 2008 the NEWDON INDUSTRIES LTD PUBLIC SWIM will provide free admission to the first 40 children and youth entering the 2:00 pm to 3:55 pm public swim on the first Saturday of each month.

Community League (born 2000 - 2003)

The Centre Wellington Minor Lacrosse Association is pleased to offer a local league program geared to new comers and parents who don't want to do the travel that comes with most sports. It will be a great mentoring program to offer the skills in the game of lacrosse. The program is only provided for Tyke and Novice age players. The communities participating in this league are Cambridge and Kitchener Waterloo. The league would run approximately 11 weeks with start up beginning mid to late April. The benefits would be a lower registration fee (not going to increase during the season), less travel time, shorter schedule, and more focus on skill development that would help introduce new kids to the sport. Our goal is to make this a fun and excellent experience for both parents and kids having only fun day tournaments on weekends so those who like their weekends to camp or to play other sports can do so. We hope in the next couple years to have more centers run local league teams since Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge have had much success with their system and we hope to do the same. Nights of play will be Tykes - Monday night and Novice Wednesday night.

Mite Program Welcome to an exciting year of Mite Lacrosse in Centre Wellington! Our program introduces kids to the basics of the game in a fun learning environment. The Mites will be divided out according to their age on Thursday evenings. The 4 year olds (born in 2006) will have a 30-minute practice focusing on learning the basics of the game. The 5 - 6 year olds (born in 2005 & 2004) will enjoy a one-hour practice, progressing to a 30 minute practice, 30 minute game later in the season. The schedule will be posted at www.cwmla.com in late March or early April. Centre Wellington Minor Lacrosse will also offer a Select program to the 6 yr. old Mites who are looking for a more competitive challenge and a little more floor time. The Select program will consist of a few tournaments, some exhibition games and a few extra practices. It will also involve an additional fee requirement. This is good preparation for those players who are interested in playing at the rep level once they move up to the Tyke division. More information will be provided once the season is underway. Volunteers are always needed (Dads and/or Moms). No experience necessary.
