PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE On behalf of the Erin Agricultural Society, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you this year to the 172nd Erin Fair. The fair continues to be a Thanksgiving Weekend tradition for many families and we are grateful that you choose to spend your weekend with us. As an organization we strive to keep the fair a place for people to showcase their livestock, promote their homecraft skills, and genuinely have a good time. Keeping a balance of new and continuing exhibits and entertainment is a fine balance and our group of volunteer Directors work hard year-round to bring these together for you. As the saying goes it "takes a village", and that could not be more true of the group of people that help to put on the fair each year - taking time out of their own busy schedules to organize and prepare this event for their local community. I want to thank every one of you who have a hand in making our fair the best it can be. In my final year as President, I am looking forward to taking in all aspects of the fair and having that feeling of normalcy back. I believe our entertainment line up is one of our best yet. Add in the new schedule and events we are able to bring back this year, and I can’t help but be really excited about fair weekend. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and that we will see you at the fair for many more years to come. AMBASSADOR OF THE FAIR’S MESSAGE Hi everyone! My name is Lindsay, and I am the 2021-2022 Erin Fair Senior Ambassador. Despite a crazy and everchanging time, I have had the opportunity to create many great memories over the last year! Becoming more involved in the fair has been a great experience and I cannot wait for everyone to come join us, have fun, and create memories on Thanksgiving. Throughout the summer I am looking forward to the opportunity to meet fellow ambassadors and represent the Erin Agricultural Society at the CNE Ambassador of the Fairs Program. There is also a variety of events I am partaking in such as Chicken BBQ’s, Bingo, the very exciting RCMP Musical Ride, and the new Youth Leadership Ambassador Program. I highly recommend taking this opportunity to meet new people, gain new skills, and become more involved in the community. I am excited to work with the new Ambassador contestants and help introduce new initiatives to fair weekend! I would like to say thank you to the fair board and all the volunteers that help make our fair so successful and well known. Also being a Junior Director, I have seen the amount of work that goes into the fair throughout the year, but the volunteers and community make the fair possible and an important part of the community. It has been an honour to represent the Erin Agricultural Society as the Senior Ambassador and I am excited to see everyone’s smiling faces on fair weekend!

JUNIOR AMBASSADOR’S MESSAGE Hi there! My name is Charlotte Gordon and I’m proud to represent Erin as the Junior Fall Fair Ambassador for 2021-2022! The past year has been an amazing and rewarding experience. With Covid we weren’t able to do too much, but we for sure made the most of it! Being able to represent the fair is such a great memory, and the fair means so much to me and my family. We’ve made so many friends and memories here over the years. When we were preparing for the Erin Santa Claus Parade, we came up with theme for the float “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. The decoration process was so much fun, and a great bonding experience! (and on the morning of it, I got to ride into Erin on the back of the float - mostly to hold things down). I recommend and encourage others to enter the ambassador leadership program, it’s truly an amazing experience. I want to thank the fair board and the ambassador committee for everything that they do to keep this fair running smoothly. All the best,

HOMECRAFT PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2022 Erin Fall Fair! After two years of restrictions, we are planning to open our exhibits hall again this year and we are looking forward to welcoming back our previous exhibitors, as well as meeting some new exhibitors. Our theme this year is Family Ties and Homemade Pies. The Homecraft Committees have developed some new classes and sections, which we hope will inspire your creativity! Please ensure that you review the rules and regulations prior to entering your exhibits. The judges adhere to these rules very closely, to ensure fairness and equity, so please ensure that you are meeting the requirements. Please reach out to a committee head if you need further clarification. I want to thank the Homecraft Executive and all the Homecraft members for all the work that they do, often behind the scenes, to ensure that everyone visiting the fair can enjoy the Homecraft Exhibits Hall. These volunteers work year-round to ensure that the fair weekend is a success. Some of their tasks include the planning, setting up and displaying of all the entries, taking part in numerous baking bees to prepare our apple dumplings, selling 50-50 tickets and running the Homecraft Café. Without this dedicated group, our fair would not be what it is today. If you are interested in becoming a part of this amazing group, please reach out to an executive member at any time. We look forward to seeing you at the fair! Philippa Bodolai 2022 EAS Homecraft President Photos of Agricultural Society President, Ambassadors and Directors courtesy of Pam Breese Photographer.
