Tō Tātou Karere WELLINGTON CITY LIBRARIES NEWS
Kia ora, RBdigital has been acquired by OverDrive so all magazines are on the move to the new platform. From February 24, all our magazines, and many more titles, will be available from the Libby app. The user experience will be similar to borrowing an ebook. Magazines will be issued for 21 days, then automatically returned from your account with the option to renew the issue before it goes. As magazines are continuously available, it will be easy for you to re-issue as needed. If you need any help accessing this service once it moves please contact us on enquiries@wcl.govt.nz.

New Crime and Mystery titles by Neil J
“
Show Holmes a drop of water and he would deduce the existence of the Atlantic. Show it to me and I would look for a tap. That was the difference between us.” ― Anthony Horowitz, The House of Silk
This year’s newly acquired Crime and Mystery titles kick off with an incredibly varied selection of globetrotting novels. Featuring crimes set in such exotic locations as the Milanese underworld, Marlborough Sounds, San Diego and the grimy rain-washed streets of Glasgow. However, the most unusual location for a murder in our new titles is a Human Preserve in Ariel S Winter’s genre jumping The Preserve reminiscent of futuristic works such as Blade Runner and Westworld. All in all, a whole new world of crime awaits your reading delectation. Enjoy! Read the full article.

RBdigital and Lynda.com – changes coming soon This month, change is coming to two of our popular online resources — Lynda.com, and RBdigital. On 15 February, Lynda.com will be changing to become LinkedIn Learning for Libraries (the next generation of the platform). On 24 February, our RBdigital magazines will be moving to OverDrive. This change will also massively increase the number of magazines available, from 130-some-odd to several thousand titles. These are vendor-driven changes, and we’re working with our vendors closely to ensure they happen smoothly for our customers. Read the full article.
