The inaugural FOBISIA Table Tennis Tournament will be hosted at the spectacular Wellington College campus, on the outskirts of the City of Bangkok in Thailand.
Two days of competitive Table Tennis will take place in the Sports Hall, with 18 international standard table tennis tables, and match referees who officiate the national junior ranking tournaments across Thailand.
Nutritious lunches and dinners will be provided for all competitors and coaches by Epicure Catering, in the picturesque Veranda Dining Hall, including a fabulous Gala BBQ Dinner and prize-giving at the close of the tournament
Wellington College is located in the Krungthep Kreetha area of Eastern Bangkok, at the midpoint between Bangkok City Centre and the Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). It is situated on 70 rai (28 acres) of lush green land with a lagoon and expansive recreational space.
A shuttle bus service will be provided from the airport to your hotel accommodation. Shuttle buses will also be provided as required to and from the venue for the start and end of each days’ play.

• Table Tennis, also known as Ping-Pong, originated in Victorian England in the 19th Century.
• Table Tennis is governed by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) founded in 1926.
• Table Tennis has been an Olympic Sport since 1988. The average age of an Olympic Champion in Table Tennis is 28.
• Table Tennis is very popular across Asia and Europe. China currently dominates the sport with the #1 ranked male player, Wang Chuqin, and female player, Sun Yingsha.

Group Matches will be played on Friday 7 March, with qualification to either the main knock-out tournament or the repechage tournament on Saturday 8 March.
All students will have matches across both days of the event.
Students may enter up to two Singles age categories (including their own age group and higher) and also the Doubles (pairs can be single gender or boy/girl)
•For U15 and U13, the age is taken on 1st August of the academic year of the competition
•For U11, the age is taken on 1st July in the academic year of competition
The entry cost per student will be between 4,000 and 5,000 THB, depending on the number of entries, which includes all match fees, lunch and dinner on 7 March, lunch and the Gala BBQ Dinner on 8 March, shuttle buses, medals and souvenirs.
Schools will need to arrange and book their hotel accommodation, flights, and transport to Bangkok. Wellington College will provide shuttle buses from the airport, to hotels, and to the venue.
Please submit expression of interest on this form by 31 October 2024.
Final booking with a 50 % non-refundable deposit will be required by 30 November 2024.
