COURSE DESCRIPTON 3D PEN 3D pen Year 1&2 of 3D design and hands-on modelling for the elementary level. Students will be able to explore their creativity and problem-solving skills with various projects such 3D Pen / 3D Modelling and Structural Design Year 3-8 3D printing technology positions students as creators. Instead of buying the creations of someone else, they become inventors who can identify global needs and create independent solutions. With 3D printing, students become designers using cutting-edge technology to visualise and bring to life their own imaginations. BALLET

CERAMICS Ceramics Nursery – Year 8 Ceramics for kids is one of the most creative activities that your child can experience. The clay can be also the art which they create. We use Earthenware to make pottery, which is soft and non-chemical. CHESS COACHING Chess coaching Year 1 and 2 Black, white, king and queen will come into play in this beginner chess club. An introduction to the game and the board, something to keep mind. Chess coaching Year 3 and 8 With the queen’s gambit and other complex moves as your target to master, you’ll be way on your way to checkmating your opponent. How will your pawn save

CODING Coding VDO Game Designer Year 1 and 2 Students will develop a range of coding and problemsolving skills as they unleash their imagination to create SUMMER 2020-2021

Each Game Design unit includes a themed mini-model built with LEGO® Bricks that will be the main character of all of the games. Each game progressively teaches more advanced capabilities within the video game design software. COOKERY Cookery Nursery/Reception Cultivate a sense of good nutrition in your children by signing them for this extremely popular club. Students will enjoy making healthy food choices. Cookery Year 1 and 2 Children will encompass math skills through measuring, counting, fractions, and sequencing, before munching their way through tasty and colourful recipes. Cookery Years 3 to 8 Explore international cuisines and generational recipes in this club. There is a focus on art and creativity when young chefs learn that we eat with our eyes, learning presentation and use of colours can make a dish taste even better. Yum! CRICKET YEAR 3-8 For all aspiring cricketers, this club will teach you to will be developed to understand the rules of the game, and to acquire the technical skills preparing you for competitive matches. Lenny the lion, together with the most dynamic of coaches, are looking forward to teaching the basic skills needed for this world popular game. CUKI Junior Football Year 1 and 2 Players, listen up! Here you will develop very important fundamental motor skill development – the ability to control your body – and an appreciation for the fun aspects of the game – it is all about you and the ball in this one.

GOLF Golf Snag Nursery – Year 2 Starting new at golf? A fun introduction to any aspiring golfers! Snag is well-known internationally as a proven learning and training system. It will introduce you into learning not only how to swing the golf club in a fun environment but also incorporate other key skills into developing your child’s athleticism learning techniques into striking, throwing and catching to help improve all areas of development. Golf Development Year 3-8 Golf development is for those that now have an interest in pursuing golf further from snag golf or those that have already played golf outside of school and now want to learn how to improve their skills further to play on the golf course and team one day. Using proper golf equipment your child will now begin to understand further how to develop their swings. Sessions will either be in the golf studio or outside dependent on the coaches’ lesson plan for the week. Competition Squad Year 3-8 For whom are ready to play on the golf course and represent the School in local events. The Competition Squad will get access to the Unico Golf Courses as part of their fee for Golf. The golf team will also get weekly private sessions in the Studio with the coach to help further progress their golf games using the latest technology. This squad is selected by the Head Coach. GYMNASTICS Gymnastics Nursery/Reception Children will learn the fundamentals of gymnastics gymnastics to the youngest of children, with focus on having fun whilst developing essential coordination, social, listening, and gross motor skills. Gymnastics Year 1 and 2 Welcome back our Thai Canadian Community Sports coaches. They always do an amazing job of training gymnasts to reach exceptional heights. Gymnastics Years 3 to 8 Our coaches believe that to develop a successful gymnast, one must be trained both physically and emotionally. This class is designed to build gymnastics skills through progression. Activities include bars, vault, balance beam, and trampoline. HIP HOP Hip Hop Nursery/Reception A pleasurable and high energy class combining Hip Hop variations. Dancers will learn introductory technique, movements and freestyle. Hip Hop Year 1 and 2 Get down with it? Want to learn how breakdance, pop and to lock? Want to discover a new way to move and groove? Start dancing to the beat, by signing up for this club. K-SOFT SKILLS NURSERY/RECEPTION The course was developed for preparing children for the challenges and demands of the future. Children in the early years are curious and excited learners. the lessons will help to create learning experiences and environments that tap into that natural curiosity and excitement with Lego Education. This includes not only supporting emerging skills in reading, math, science, and social studies, but also most importantly, the 21st-century skills of critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity, technology literacy, and social-emotional development. the course will engage children to develop the early foundational skills that will help them have a better focusing, mindfulness, reason, think creatively, analyse data, and work collaboratively in the future. LEARN TO SWIM Learn to swim Nursery/Reception Want to learn how to get in and out of the pool safely? Practice putting your face into the water? Skills to control your breathing? LEGO ENGINEERING Lego Engineering Nursery/Reception This is a hands-on class where students build machines, buildings, vehicles and other structures out of motorized LEGO® Bricks, using one-of-a-kind model plans designed by Bricks 4 Kidz®. They will build a new motorized model each week. All lessons are related to something students enjoy, such as sports, space, transportation, amusement park, etc. LITTLE CODER Little Coder Nursery/Reception Little Coder course (for ages 3-5 years) Early learners will learn through play about sequencing, looping, action allowing for students to test and redesign ways to problem-solve and work together to get their train to its destination. In the classroom, children will be provided logic and critical thinking skill worksheet to enhance their logic and coding skills. MAKER LABS Maker Labs Year 3-8 Maker Lessons have been developed to engage and motivate students through engaging in engineering and coding using a motorized model. The open-ended project enables students to express a wide range of creative solutions as they sketch, build and test prototypes of the designs that they create. The course allows the students to make their own prototype for each creative project from real world micro controllers such as Micro BIT, Arduino and NI LabVIEW.

STEM ROBOTICS AND CODING STEM Robotics and Coding level 1 Year 1 and 2 STEM robotics and coding (Level 1) ignites the students’ desire to learn while enhancing their skills in science, engineering, technology, and coding, all based on Next Generation Science Standards. Lessons have been developed to engage and motivate young students, through exploring their interest in coding using motorized models and simple programming. When the students complete 3 seasons of this course, there will be an assessment for the students’ portfolio to keep for an advancement in their robotics and STEM Robotics and Coding level 2 Year 3 - 8 STEM robotics and coding (Level 2) engages students by providing the resources to design, build, and programme their creations, whilst helping them to develop essential skills such as creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication.. Students can leverage the advanced features and functionality of EV3 along with the STEM, robotics and Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) lessons to build education such as Manufacturing, Information Technology and Pre-Engineering. Students will receive Denmark and there will be an assessment for the students’ portfolio to keep for an advancement in their robotic and coding skills. TENNIS Tennis Tots Nursery/Reception Running, jumping, twisting, turning, hopping, balancing, receiving, sending, oh and agility, are ALL the skills taught to your tennis tots throughout the term. He has an elite team of coaches at his disposal, most of them National players themselves, who will work with him to deliver a highquality programme.

There will be three levels of provision for Golf. SNAG is aimed at beginner players, using large headed clubs and tennis balls to develop the fundamentals of the game. Players can graduate from this into the Development Squad, which is aimed at players who can hit the ball, but are not quite ready for the golf course. The third tier is our Competition Squad, who are ready to play on the golf course and represent the School in local events. Players at all levels will get access to the Swing Room with the swing analysis software and virtual golf courses. The Competition Squad will get access to the Unico Golf Course as part of their fee for Golf. Furthermore, both the Development and Competition Squads will have supervised practice with Michael, small group lessons in the Swing Room, and the opportunity to pay for private 1-1 lessons with Michael at their convenience. We will continue with our relationship with Fore Management to ensure we enter all the ISGT events and Faldo Series tournaments held in Asia. We are looking to develop further our strong links with Mr Edmunds and the golf programme at Wellington College UK and collegiate coaches in USA.

2. Tennis Coach J will be already be familiar to many of you who have experienced his unique and pasionate coaching in the Wellington Extra programme. We are expanding our delivery of Tennis Coach J and his team will continue to deliver tennis to our youngest players However, Coach J will also assume responsibility for developing a competitive tennis programme here at Wellington College. Tennis will be available on three afternoons, with competitive matches against other schools, and tournaments both attended and hosted. 4

Swimming Swimming is developing extremely well at Wellington College, with the appointment of former three times Olympian James Goddard as our Head of Swimming highlighting our commitment to the sport. There will be two levels for swimming initially. Learn to Swim is aimed at our beginner swimmers not yet ready Squad will have the opportunity to train in the water up to six times per week. Mr Goddard will discuss with individuals what their minimum expectation should be. Our most competitive swimmers would be expected to We have two pools, both short and long course, with electronic timing touch pads for our swimmers to use.
