Our most tangible accomplishments in FY17, though, was the implementation of our Electronic Health Record (EHR). Nearly all of the 156 people employed by Wellspring were trained in the new EHR and it has revolutionized the way we do business.

Armed with this staff feedback and a looming CARF accreditation survey, we worked diligently to increase our training and improve our communication. We have added lots of new agencywide trainings and have worked hard on having increasingly clear lines of communication, including a bit of departmental reorganization.

Of course, they also told us a few things that could be better: the need for more resources, more training, and better agency-wide communication. The lowest score was 81% so there were no total failures but certainly room for improvement.

A few survey statistics that we are most proud of include: • “The agency clearly conveys its mission” (95%) • “I can see how the vision and mission of Wellspring fits into the work I do every day” (90%) • “I am challenged by my job to think about the best outcomes for my clients” (97%) • 98% reported that they are very proud of the Wellspring brand and reputation

Wellspring had another year full of challenges and successes. No business can rest on its laurels and expect to survive, let alone thrive and Wellspring is no exception. We put significant staff time and energy into strengthening our internal processes with the aim of continually improving the quality of our services for our clients and the experience of working here for our staff members, which we believe are fundamentally associated. We asked for staff feedback via an anonymous survey and our consumer advisory council interviewed clients from across the agency for their feedback. Our goal was to learn from those most directly-impacted by the organization.

And, as for that CARF survey, we expanded our areas of accreditation so that Wellspring is now accredited in Case Management, Outpatient, Community Housing, and Psychiatric Crisis Stabilization! We are extremely proud of these accomplishments!! We are the only organization in Kentucky which is accredited in Community Housing and we have the only accredited adult crisis stabilization units in this region of the Commonwealth!
