What is the most gratifying thing about being a Realtor? Buying and Selling Real Estate is one of life’s most important decisions. It is truly gratifying being able to help families realize their dream of home ownership by helping them each step of the way. How long have you worked in Real Estate? I have been a Real Estate Agent for the last 5 years and worked at a bank as a mortgage lender for about 7 years prior to being a realtor.
Where were you born and where did you grow up? I was born in Michoacán, Mexico and moved to the Wenatchee Valley at the age of 12 in 1988 with my family. I moved to Atlanta Georgia for about a year with my husband in 1991 then came back to Wenatchee to be close to my family and have lived here since then. Tell us about your family? I am the youngest of twelve. I’ve been married to Martin Mendez for almost twenty years. We have three beautiful children Saul 18, Vanessa 12 and Little Martin 6. What is your most prized possession? Having all my family living here in the Wenatchee Valley and being able to enjoy our big family gatherings.

The Importance of Mortgage Interest Deduction (MID)
There’s no question we’re dealing with difficult issues when it comes to the future of our nation’s economy, but in the process, we must not lose sight of the values that helped make our country strong in the first place.
Major changes to home ownership tax benefits like the mortgage interest deduction could adversely affect the wealth of middle and lower income families and make it harder for them to achieve their dreams of homeownership. Two-thirds of all families who take the MID earn less than $100,000. That said, reducing, or eliminating, this crucial benefit would mean a tax increase for American home owners, who already pay 80 to 90 percent of U.S. federal income tax. If you’ve ever taken the mortgage interest deduction what difference has it made for you at tax time and was it important to you? For more information, facts and myths about the mortgage interest deduction, visit http://economistsoutlook.blogs.realtor.org/2011/07/22/mortgage-interest-deduction The National Association and your local Realtors® continue to lobby Congress to keep the Mortgage Interest Deduction in place in addition to fighting for many other homeowner’s rights. ✓ Realtors® bring value to home buyers. Realtors® understand their local markets and can negotiate on the buyer’s behalf.an help buyers through this process. ✓ The buyer agency agreement ensures the buyer that his or her Realtor® will represent the interests of the buyer alone, and not the seller. ✓ Realtors® visit hundreds of homes with buyers each year, and have a unique understanding of what buyers value in their local markets. ✓ Buyers should look for a Realtor® who is familiar with the areas and neighborhoods they are considering.
