What do you like about life in the Wenatchee Valley? I like being able to get to just about anything I need in 5 minutes, and once there, to ďŹ nd a zillion parking places and theyâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;re free! I like the slow pace (lived in Seattle off and on for several years), less pressure, more time to chat, connect, relax. I really appreciate the fact that here you can â&#x20AC;&#x2DC;likeâ&#x20AC;? people in person, instead of clicking a button on Facebook.
What tip would you offer to someone interested in buying or selling a home? Drive all over the place, through the areas in which youâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;re interested, get a feel for each neighborhood, notice how close it is to the goods and services you use on a regular basis. Imagine living in this or that house, and then ask yourself, â&#x20AC;&#x153;What will I do on Saturday morning if I live hereâ&#x20AC;?, for example. See yourself driving or walking to the nearest grocery store, restaurant, retail store, coffee shop and so on. Once you have a feel for where you want to be, really ask yourself if youâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;re ready to buy right now. If you have a house to sell ďŹ rst, consider what you would need to do in order for your home to be ready to sell, how long might it be on the market before a buyer comes along; if it sells how much cash will I have to buy my next home. I think itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s always best to sell ďŹ rst, because then you have the cash and the buying power to conďŹ dently search for your new home. Oh, and of course, commit to an agent who will support you wholeheartedly throughout this most important process.
