Where were you born and where did you grow up? I was born in Omak, but actually raised in Tonasket. I was fortunate enough to be in the same house my whole childhood. As a matter of fact, my parents still live there. What do you most like about living in this area? Like most everyone I love our 4-seasons. I also like our more laid back attitude and the tremendous recreational activities that we all have at our fingertips. We’re not too big and not too small. We have everything we need right here in our valley. What got you into the real estate business and what keeps you there? I am in my 12th year of Real Estate. I was at a crossroad in my work career and a friend made the suggestion of the real estate industry to me. I had never even thought of or considered real estate. That night I went home and told my husband that I was going to get my license...and I did! The rest is history and I’ve never looked back. There are really two reasons that keep me in this business. The first is the people. I have such loyal and wonderful friends and clients. I am fortunate to have each and every one of them in my life. The second is the fact that I get to learn something new every day. There is nothing monotonous about this business. What is the most unique property you have ever listed/sold? I haven’t really had anything too crazy, but this past winter I had a 700+ acre piece listed and access was very limited without snowmobiles. The four folks that wanted to look chained up their truck and we went up the back side in several feet of snow. It was one of the best times I’ve ever had showing a property. The property was definitely unique, but the showing of the property was what was really unique.

Some things are great and you become so much more efficient at everything you do. With that being said, you really lose that personal touch with people which is the one thing that usually draws one person to another. So it’s a catch-22 really. What is your favorite ethnic food? Do dill pickles and beef jerky count? I’m pretty much an all-american girl…not much into ethnic food. If I had to choose it would be Chinese food. What is your forecast for real estate sales for the remainder of 2012? I think sales will remain good for the remainder of this year and through next year. Business has been good and properties are definitely moving. I think we’ve reached our bottom and are stabilizing. I don’t think prices are going to shoot up anytime soon, but I believe we will continue to see improvement in our market.
