In 2009 founder Becky Brackett noticed that designers were searching for custom lighting solutions, rather than mass-produced pieces. She began customizing handcrafted lighting with a unique and organic twist, providing custom, and elegant pieces for designers across industries and styles. Today, she loves to see the excitement of designers and other creatives as they work with Lowcountry Originals to make projects come to life all over the nation.

Each of our projects begin with a focus on design expertise. After finalizing the design, we consult with our production team and present the design to the artisans. When a piece is complete, it reflects the natural beauty of our region and the artistry of our craftsmen.
Based on the project needs, we offer a breadth of in-house alterations to our core offering. Modifications to existing products from size, finish or material can solve countless design challenges.

Utilizing our strengths in building artisanal lighting, we introduce the sculpture category. We now have the capability to design, develop, and create overscale indoor and outdoor sculpture for both the residential and commercial markets. Fulfilling our promise to be your SOURCE FOR ART.

THE WESTIN HILTON HEAD ISLAND RESORT & SPA, HILTON HEAD, GA
CONCEPT: Create a lighting solution that showcases a lowcountry aesthetic in a modern setting.
SOLUTION: Interior designer Kelly Caron (@kellycarondesigns) captured the luxurious and coastal aesthetic of the oceanfront resort in Hilton Head. The overall property features several custom chandeliers and sconces from Lowcountry Originals.

Our finishes are designed to be as lively and everchanging as the Lowcountry landscape itself. Providing depth and character our “living” finishes produce a beautiful, natural patina as they age without impacting structural integrity. We create and add new finishes often to our assortment as we develop our collections. Most finishes are damp-rated and can be used in bathrooms, kitchens, covered porches and patios.
Lowcountry Originals’ bespoke design process includes choosing accents and shades for several of our lamps, pendants, sconces, and chandelier fixtures. We welcome your creativity and look forward to working with you on your next project.
Lowcountry Originals offers candle covers in real beeswax, steel and copper to complement your design aesthetic. Our classic beeswax drip candle covers are available in 2”, 4” and 10” lengths. The square beeswax candle covers provide a more modern look without the drip accents, and are available in the 4” length. Our steel and copper candle covers are also available in 2”, 4” and 10” lengths and can be customized in any LCO finish.

Our swings are designed for style and comfort, and are sure to be a topic of conversation. We offer ten wood finishes, custom painting options, and a selection of metal finishes so you can truly customize the bed swing to your design needs.
For high-end performance fabrics and liners, we recommend our assortment of luxurious and longlasting outdoor textiles custom designed right here in the South Carolina. Our collection is made with 100% solution dyed acrylic, the Gold Standard for outdoor.

Whether completely designed in-house or personalized with your custom touches, each Lowcountry Originals piece is made to order in Ridgeland, South Carolina. Here, our talented and experienced artisan team ensures the highest quality design and construction while our friendly customer service team makes sure you are satisfied with your order.
Every month, our team heads offshore to collect hundreds of oyster shells off the Georgia coast. Upon return, they are cleaned, dried, and ready for assembly. It’s a true artisan experience that provides the perfect and unique touch to our lighting and accessories.
