Lindengate Mental Health Charity
In Partnership with The Clare Foundation, Lindengate is launching a timely, new programme called Rest and Reflect to support those affected by bereavement from the national pandemic.
mindfulness and nature-based activities based around the 5 ways of wellbeing.
Our stunning 5-acre site will host a series of 2 hour reflective sessions each week from midJune for NHS/Keyworkers and those dealing with bereavement, to enable them to benefit from the healing qualities that it offers for rest and reflection on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings 4pm – 7pm and Saturdays 1.30pm – 4.30pm. On arrival our guests will be given a leaflet explaining how they might use the site to benefit and be guided around via a one-way system. Opportunities for spending time sitting in some of the “just be” places around the site will be available. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to support (at a socially accepted distance), guide and facilitate healing through
There will be a shorter route on our designated accessible pathways for those with mobility difficulties. On leaving people have the choice of receiving a gift of Lindengate fresh produce to take home with them. In addition, we have set up an online support module called Lindengate@Home. The new world of social distancing has prompted us to adapt and change our way of supporting those affected by COVID-19, at a distance. During the Coronavirus restrictions, the pool plant and maintenance volunteers are still working to keep the building safe and the essential equipment maintained. Once the restrictions are lifted and we are sure that the conditions are safe, we will open again. We hope to see you all there! Remember, you don’t need to be a member to swim at The Wendover Swimming Pool, and we’re easy to get to - in the middle of the schools campus on Wharf Road.
