In early June, Louise Heyday, Clerk to Wendover Parish Council, asked if our students would be able to manufacture some throwing line holders to replace the old ones by the lake. Our year 9 and 10 students were up for the challenge, and spent a few lessons in mechanics and engineering measuring, planning and manufacturing the new holders. These were manufactured from steel, including recycled horse shoes. Two of our year 10 students then installed one of these next to the lake. We appreciated the opportunity to work together with the local community and hope our students will have further opportunities like this in the future.
