1.0 THREE RELATIONSHIPS
1.1 Point/line/Plane 1.2 Mass 1.3 Frame and Infill
Through out the semester we explored three fundamental techtonics in architecture; 'Point, Line and Plane', 'Mass' and 'Frame and Infill'. The form and the relationships between these informed the final design; A Place for keeping Secrets.
1.1 POINT/ LINE/PLANE
This tectonic expolres the progression from a point to a line, the from a line to a plane.
EXPERIMENTING WITH PERSPECTIVE AND RELIEF
Dependung on thte angle of view, lines turn to points, or planes transform into lines. In the other views, lines converge and overlap to vreate the illusion ofa planes. Some lines violently slice into planes, others sit nestled on one another. The light cantilevered lines provide relief from heavy, solid planes.
1.2 MASS
Connotations of solidity, darkness, the 'unknow.'
The light comes from the skylight brings out the heavy contrast betwen the light and weight. The four long skylight tubes allow the internal spaces to be bathed in light while affording privacy from neighbours.
Building is designed as a prismatic mass which is ranging to a gap by the help of the cantilevers that lyed on the south and west faรงades. South faรงade is placed in front of a glass surface as a seconday faรงade.
3D Models of the Mass improve the de
esign of the Mass and futher designing
CROSS SECTION ACROSS THE EARTH
This piece delves into the idea of the underground voids and occupied spaves under the Earth surface. A strong, dark line markes the top surface of the ground. It fades, with textured earthy markings, down to the depths of the Earth Tunnel leading to the surface, allowing lighr to filter down below. Moving throught the space, the tunnelsto the surface diasppear. People must depend les on their vision but more on their sense of touch to navigate the void.
1.3 FRAME & INFILL
Frame as permanent, static, fixed Infill as transient, fluent, dynamic, fluid, tempcrary.
The impression left on the viewer is something akin to a caged animal; a bundle of creativity and edginess kept in order by the exterior framework.People can sit on the frame work for free.
The heaviness on the top of the structure gives an impression of cballenging the gravity.
Conceptual Model During the tutorial. Decide the material of framing work as Timer. And testing the shading figure.
Sketchking of the Frame and Infill. Decide the shape of infill and the material as form board.
DYNAMIC AND STATIC
Dynamic panels dance their way in and around the static frame. Supporting members balance on the frame, like they could move at any moment. As the sclae, shape and orientation of the planes shifts, a greater senseof dynamism develops. This provides relief from the static frame.
2.0 A PLACE FOR KEEPING SECRET
2.1 Site Amalysis 2.2 Conceptacle 2.3 Concept and Design Development
2.1 SITE ANALYSIS
Herring island is a man made island and is an abstracted derivative of the piatonic shapeof triangle. This result in 3 distinct corners, or moments, whereby vistors fell the isolation of the island. When among its central grounds. I fell as if I could have been preusing a much larger bushland.

SITE LOCATION
The chosen site is a in the central of the plane and close to the pathay. Through out the site analysis wecan clear see the noisy resource comming from the Road, for emphasis the concept with secret, I choose the the location that awat from the noisey resource.
Some Sketching of Semi-Underground
2.2 CONCEPTACLE
After the site analysis I choose the type of the building as semi-underground. Beacuse of the semi-underground are able to hide the building into the bush which is related to the Main concept as Keep secret. People will not easily getting shocked with the building in the bush but satified with the sapce and convinent are provided the Pavilion.
2.3 CONCEPT AND DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
One of my major element is the taiji withch is a traditional symbol ot represent balance of the Darkness and Light.I plam to manage the space to the pavillion into two major part which is the Dark and Light.Dark part will be more pravicy and more independent for prople.Such as reading, lisenting music even study. In the Light part it will be more open and busy. I might put an cafe in that area and people can chat with each other in that area.

BUILDING THE PLAN
BUILDING THE PLAN The idea of the plan comming from the POINT LINE AND PLANE which brings out more flexibale spacing using , outstanding ventilation and awesome sight view. The structual comes from the Frame and Infill to make the structual more effciency.

GREEN ROOF
Green roof can make the Pavilion closer to the environment. When people standing on the roof they will feeling they are stll in the bush and even in better view that can represents the connection between artificial designing and natural. Moreover Green Roof system can collect storming water that reduce the water spend, especially it is imporant for the island like that.
CONCRETE SCORED JOINLESS The concrete looks entirety and solide texture looks elegent.
PINE WOOD
Coming from local w material for building s
which brings our some Australian style, structual and decoration together.
SAFETY GLASS Compare to the noral glass, safety glass has better stregth on comparasion which is more suiable on architectual design

The Model clearly shows the cirlulation around the building. The stairs connect the ground floor and roof, the bridge also connect the both side of the builing that can brings out different view from different side even different level

Shading study comes from the Mass project and using timbers to prevent direct sun light in order to create the DARK part.
3.0 REFELECTION The weekly task (Point/Line/Plane, Mass and Frame and Infill) were essential for allowing exploration into form and composition. They provided practice, experiwnce and physicalforms to learn form, especially since this is the first Design Studio of the Architexure Major. Weekly feedback was beneficial as it provided the opportunity for refinement. It can be difficult to find a balance beauty of simplicity, being too simple or being too complex. Feeback was also helpful for starting to define and explore these. The subjuct called for poetic architecturem which I struggled with as our other tasks were docused more on form. The final project helped me to delve further into producing poetic and more narrative based architecture, rather than a focus on just form. This subject has allowed me to experiment with new focuses and a more rounded approach to design, whichI believe will supplement my future studies and design studio projects.
