paintings I am working on contemporary, critical bad paintings. I‘m fascinated of capitalism. I‘m hungry to consume.

Illusion / Depression Since the beginning of 2012 I’m working on this project. In this project I’m investigating the interaction of the illusion made by the advertising industry and the depression that people get if they do not achieve their so projected goals. The “Hero” paintings are just a small step of the whole process.

Hero A “hero” is a person who performs extraordinary deeds for the benefit of others. What is a hero?, I think there exists no such thing. It’s only a notion, a notion in the heads of romantic people. Or a figure to give people believe in something higher. Believe makes people submissive for… Hero you are so wonderful, marvelous, miraculous, delightful, wondrous, prodigious I want to be like you, immortal, everlasting, unfading, undying, abiding, deathless. Forget the truth, the truth is a loser. Only the hero is a winner. So just be a hero. United States of America, nobody else have so many heroes in his “zeitgeist” and history. Figures like Superman, Batman, Spiderman, X-Man ….. the real heroes and the other ones. The unreal heroes of: war: sport, labor and the historical ones, the cowboys. That pushes me to the question: does America exist in this form without their heroes? What you see on the other side of the mirror. The truth? As a child you believe in nothing, with the time they show you all this glittering heroes. You can’t opposed about it. They are anywhere. Earlier they was only in books, in grandma’s story. Know they are “supermega” the have the vision the television, the internet they are multimedia. Now and anytime! They bomb your mind, and you start to believe in heroes. More than believe you want to be one, it’s now your truth. Your life mission!
