Five seniors will lead the Falcons ACGC hopes to improve upon a winless 2020 season BY MATTHEW CURRY West Central Tribune

GROVE CITY — Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City prepares for the coming season with five seniors returning. Falcons head coach Jamie Mootz returns for her fourth season along with co-head coach Shawna Roemeling, who is in her second season. Returning seniors for the Falcons are outside hitter Erin Roemeling, hitter Myli Narragon, middle hitter and setter Laela Werner, outside hitter Liberty Jans and defensive specialist Madyson Sandstrom. Along with the seniors, the Falcons look to underclassmen returners in Eli Roemeling, Mikaili Johnson, Haley Wilner, Kylie Blom, Giselle Grahn, Grace Kaehler, Claire Slinden and Taylor Hoekstra. “The Falcons are excited to be back in the gym and working hard to prepare for the upcoming season,” Mootz said. ACGC went 0-8 last season with all its losses by 3-0 scores. The Falcons believe there is nowhere to go but up. They open their season Friday, Aug. 27 at the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted tournament.

BBE’s season begins on the road on Aug. 31 for a non-conference game against Osakis.
