will perform with Australian Musical Theatre Powerhouse in the Opening number of ‘Illuminate’ on Sunday 9 June 2024 at Sydney Coliseum Theatre.
**ATTENTION SINGERS**
This year we are also auditioning for one singer to perform a Musical Theatre singing solo at ILLUMINATE PERFORMING ARTS GALA on Sunday 9th June 2024
Deone Zanotto & Nathan M. Wright will be conducting Masterclasses on the Friday 7 June that all groups will get to attend in their rotation. These workshops will be focussed on enlightening students with helpful hints and tools on how to prep for auditions, especially singing. They will cover topics such as how to prepare your music, interaction with the panel, pianist and other essential tips. Even if you’re not a seasoned singer, these workshops will be so beneficial to be mentored and taught by these two industry powerhouses.
Within these masterclasses, Deone & Nathan will hear any student that want to audition sing 16 bars a cappella of a prepared song. They will provide feedback and then choose singers to progress and sing again, this time 32 bars of their prepared song with a backing track. From this three singers will be chosen to perform their song on the main stage in the theatre after the Top 20 Dancers are announced and 1 lucky student will be chosen to perform at ILLUMINATE on Sunday 9 June 2024.
**If you would like to audition please come prepared with 16 bars a cappella of your prepared song and then bring a backing track of the song on your phone**
