4,190 reasons to be grateful
T
his issue of the Honor Roll of Giving is special for many reasons: four thousand, one hundred and ninety, to be exact.
Thatβs the number of you who made the decision to make a place for Westminster College in your charitable plans during 2020 and 2021. You are our alumni, friends, employees, faculty, staff, students, and parents of students. You are decision-makers at foundations, in businesses, and the public sector. Your acts of heart-felt generosity and expressions of faith in our Mission and Vision invigorate the college community in many ways. Your gifts are the resources with which we create new and improved educational, athletic, and other student-centered facilities, where real-world experiences and education takes place, and where life-changing relationships begin. We are so incredibly grateful to all 4,190 of you! This past July marked the beginning of my connection with Westminster College as the Vice President of Institutional Advancement, and I am deeply honored to be at this beloved institution that has had an impact on so many, near and far, for almost 170 years. Over the coming months I hope to have the opportunity to meet or speak with many of you, to thank you personally for your gifts, and to share the many ways your generosity truly makes a difference. Also, as we come to know each other and as we continue to adapt and adjust to the challenges we face, there is one constant I hope to convey: that Westminster College is worthy of and deeply grateful for your support, and that all of us strive, each and every day, to be good stewards of your gifts. On behalf of the entire Westminster College community, thank you for your generosity and support. Dr. Jean M. Hale Vice President for Institutional Advancement
