All our services feature thought-provoking messages that present biblical truth that you can apply to your life. The message is the same at all services.

Summer Message Series
“B.L.E.S.S.ed Summer Ever!” Starts June 21 & 22
For many, summer is the best season in Minnesota. It’s when we are outside the most enjoying, not only the area’s abundant natural resources, but also special times with family and friends. The summer sermon series, “B.L.E.S.S.ed Summer Ever!” gives us an opportunity to do all those things as we develop relationships with others that bless both them and us. Blessing others has always been God’s way of reaching and restoring the world. Genesis 12:2-3 says, “…I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” This Summer, beginning the weekend of June 21-22, through the messages at all our services we’ll learn how to B.L.E.S.S. others by doing the kinds of things we already do, just with elevated intentionality. The result is friends coming to a greater understanding and experience of the love of Christ. We’ll look at the scriptural basis for this relational approach and celebrate where B.L.E.S.S.ing others is already happening at Westwood. And together, we’ll continue to bless and change our families, our neighborhoods and our world.
B- BEGIN with prayer. Ask: “God how do you want me to bless the people in the places you’ve sent me to?” L- LISTEN. Listen to people, their struggles, their pains, in the places God has sent you. E- EAT. Have a meal with people-summer barbeques are great! Or enjoy a cup of coffee together--it builds relationships. S- SERVE. If you listen with people and you eat with people they will tell you how to love them and you’ll know how to serve them. S- STORY. When the time is right, now talk and share the story of how Jesus changed your life. Make this your B.L.E.S.S.ed summer ever!

Summer Associates & Interns Lindy Magness
Lauren Becker After being in Chicago at Wheaton College studying Christian Education and Ministry, Lindy Magness is happy to be back in the Twin Cities! Lindy grew up at Westwood and is excited to be partnering in the ministry for middle school students in ways that foster her love for Jesus and passion for youth. Lindy loves running, writing, drinking coffee, walking her dog, being outside, and spending time with friends and family.
Lauren Becker is joining us as Creative Arts Intern through December. She is a songwriting and composition major at McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul. She began seriously writing Contemporary Christian music in 2012 and released her debut album Total Abandonment in November 2013. After she graduates in December 2014, Lauren plans to continue with music ministry in the church, as well as writing and recording her second album. She is excited to grow and be a part of the community at Westwood. For more information on Lauren and her music, visit her website: lauren-becker.com.
Jenny Miller
Taylor Lund
Jenny Miller is back for her second summer coordinating Fusion, the college-age ministry at Westwood. She is excited to continue leading the ministry and to see how the Lord continues to fill the hearts, renew the minds, open the eyes, and bring joy and hope to the students this summer. She can’t wait to meet all of the students! Last spring Jenny graduated from Bethel University and is currently earning her M.A. in Ministry Practice at Bethel Seminary. She loves spending time with family and friends, traveling, and reading. Find out more about the Fusion ministry on the Facebook page called “Fusion: Westwood College Age Ministry.”
Taylor Lund has joined us for the summer as our high school intern. He is going into his senior year at the University of Minnesota studying mechanical engineering. He grew up in Blaine, Minnesota, playing sports and musical instruments year round and rooting for all Minnesota teams win or lose...or lose. A recovering perfectionist in every part of life, it has been Taylor’s joy to discover an intimacy with God that surpasses his intellect, and a security that does not come from his own abilities. His hope is that his walk with God, with all its beauty and struggles, can encourage those around him to pursue the God that offers true life and the ability to have it to the full.
Alex Lidstone
Rose Flaherty Alex is back for her second year working with kids in the summer at Westwood. She will be a junior at Bethel University this fall pursuing a degree in elementary education. She loves seeing the kids each weekend and seeing them grow in their faith. She lives with her family in Chanhassen and grew up at Westwood. She loves to cook, read, and spend time with her friends, family, and two dogs. She is excited to be back with Children’s Ministry this summer!
