Sermon series When we pray to God for needs in our life, there are three possible answers; “yes,” “no” and “wait”. Wait is often the hardest answer and the most difficult to understand. Pastor Joel Johnson will explore the whys and hows of waiting on God in a series entitled, “The Waiting Room, a study of Habakkuk” in January. Have a friend who is in God’s waiting room? Invite them to come with you to this helpful series.
About Westwood Worship Services Westwood services are dynamic and inspiring.
Communion
As we express our worship to God, the music is celebratory though the style is varied. All our services feature thought-provoking messages that present biblical truth that you can apply to your life. The message is the same at all services.
Sunday morning services (8:30, 9:45 & 11:05am) On Sunday mornings, you will experience a variety of updated traditional hymns, along with the songs of today.
We observe Communion the first Saturday and Sunday of the month at all our services. All those who believe in Jesus Christ are welcome to participate. If you would like a pastor to clarify the meaning of the Lord’s Supper, please call the Church Office (952.224.7300). Self-serve gluten-free communion is available at the usher stations on Sunday mornings. During the ELEMENTS services (Saturday and Sunday evenings), gluten-free communion is available on the far left side of the Worship Center when you are facing the front. INFO: Jessica Lebens, 952.358.1490, jessica.lebens@westwoodcc.org
Saturday & Sunday ELEMENTS services (5:00pm) The environment is relaxed and the music is a blend of soulful songs that are both relevant and reverent. Find info on weekend Children & Student Ministries on pages 4–7.
We demonstrate God’s love in creative and compelling ways that lead people to:
KNOW God, WORSHIP Him authentically, GROW spiritually, SERVE joyfully and CONNECT relationally.
We are a community with open hands, receiving from God all He wants to give, believing He wants to give us a lot. And with open hands we give it away, believing we cannot out-give God.

Life and Events Baptism
Funeral Support
At Westwood we believe that baptism is for everyone who believes in Christ and has chosen to follow Him. Baptism is a time of celebration! In baptism, people express faith in Christ and publicly acknowledge their commitment to Him. Baptism symbolizes the believer’s union with Christ, spiritual cleansing and forgiveness, and promised resurrection into eternal life. Westwood celebrates baptism together in community in June and September at area lakes as well as periodic occasions in our Worship Center. Classes are offered prior to the summer and fall baptism services.
