Purpose Stateme nt
The purpose of Westwood Community Church is to honor God by enjoying Him through reaching people with the love of Jesus Christ.
Vision Stateme nt
We demonstrate God’s love in creative and compelling ways that lead people to know God, worship Him authentically, grow spiritually, serve joyfully and connect relationally. We are a community with open hands, receiving from God all He wants to give, believing He wants to give us a lot. And with open hands we give it away, believing we cannot out-give God.
INSIDE SCOOP TO VOLUME ONE Volume One is your one-stop-shop for information on all that is available to you at Westwood Community Church. Within the pages of the print publication or the online version (link available at www. westwoodcc.org), you’ll find information on a wide range of growth and serving opportunities for children, students, adults and families. There’s also information on weekend services, message series and engaging deeper with Westwood through social media. The publication is organized alphabetically.
INFLUENCERS Sermon Series in May and June Everyone is a leader. Leadership is about influence, not position. Who we influence and how we influence may be different, but everyone influences. An influencer motivates others to change. An influencer replaces bad behaviors with powerful new skills. An influencer makes things happen. You’ll see in this series how seemingly “insignificant” people of every age and stage of life are touched by God’s grace. They become high impact influencers making incredibly significant contributions in solving problems others would think impossible. Once you tap into the power of God’s influence in your life, you can reach out and help others be wiser, live better, and even be God’s change agent to save lives. See more online at www.westwoodcc.org/currentseries
Values
Our purpose and vision exist because: We love God with all that we are, have and do. We love all people because all people matter to God. Westwood’s Statement of Faith is available online at www.westwoodcc.org/links.

Pastoral Care–Small Groups
Pastoral Care
Small Groups: Adults
Westwood seeks to demonstrate the love of Christ to increase hope in response to the changes and challenges of life. It’s our joy to provide pastoral care of a spiritual nature to individuals, couples or families from within the Westwood congregation. If assistance is needed beyond the scope of pastoral care, referrals are provided to professional Christian counselors. The pastors of Westwood are available for crisis needs and for those needing spiritual assistance. Hospital visits, anointing with oil for healing, and prayer are all ministries available through our pastors.
Joining a small group is easy! Each study provides a leader with whom you can contact to join. If you need more direction, contact Brian.
