Message from the Nominating Committee Candidates sought for Board of Directors

The Nominating Committee is soliciting candidates for the 2022 Board of Directors. If you have career or volunteer skills, private or charitable board experience, or just want to serve your community in a leadership capacity, please let us know by contacting any member of the Nominating Committee. Any Wexford member who is currently in good standing is eligible to run for the Board. If you are interested in running for the Board, or would like to know more about the process, please contact a committee member for more information. Contractors chosen for Roadway, Pickleball

The Pickleball Court Construction is slated to begin soon. Two contractors were chosen for the upcoming projects at the May 21 Board Meeting. Project Scope: New Pickleball Courts and Clubhouse Entry Drive improvements includes all Materials, Labor and Equipment as necessary to establish a new entry approach and install four Pickleball courts with all accessory equipment and structures. Project Plan & Cost: The site work for the Pickleball and Entry improvements will be performed by JS Construction. The pickleball construction will be done by Howard B. Jones & Sons. Both have performed very satisfactory work for Wexford in the past. • The two contractor bids, when combined, total contracts in the amount of $515,394. The cost of which separately are as follows: $297,448 for JS Construction and $217,946 for Howard B. Jones. • There is a total Budget of $550,000 budgeted for these combined Projects. The difference in the contracted amount will be the Project contingency. Status: The bidders (JS Construction and Howard B. Jones) were each notified Friday afternoon that they were awarded the Project. We are currently working towards scheduling a date to meet with the awarded bidders. This part of the process called a Pre-construction meeting. It will involve the finalizing and signing of contracts and determining a Project schedule. Updates on the Pickleball Project will be regularly communicated through our online Member Portal where there is a dedicated webpage, the Wexford Weekly e-blasts, and Club Times monthly newsletter.
