Dear Members:

Warmer temperatures are upon us and there is no better time to enjoy our Oasis and Splash pools to cool down and build camaraderie with your fellow members. Summer activities are coming up to include a plethora of July 4th festivities. Wexford Kid’s Camp is also right around the corner, and I am excited that we have developed a partnership with KE Camps, a nationally-renowned company that focuses on Private Country Club camp programs. With well-planned weekly programs, each child will participate in golf, tennis, swim and other recreational activities. If you have a child or grandchild that may be interested, please sign up soon. I am pleased to report from the recent Board of Directors meeting that the bid proposals for the Pickleball Courts are approved, and we will move forward with pre-construction meetings with the selected vendors. We chose JS Construction to assist us in the site construction of the Pickleball Courts and Front Entrance. JS was the selected contractor who assisted us in the most recent pool renovation. Howard B Jones is the contractor selected to build the Pickleball Courts, and install the new lighting on our existing courts and new Pickleball Courts. We have a dedicated webpage on the member portal to keep you up-to-date on the progress of this project for your future enjoyment. The Board of Directors also approved the purchase of a new fleet of golf carts from Club Car. This new fleet will have an updated look with enhanced seats and USB connections. If you are interested in purchasing one of our existing fleet golf carts please contact Scott Hunter, who will be able to assist you. The Board of Directors voted in favor of updating the Club’s mask protocol, which was recently featured in our Wexford updates communication platform. Thank you all for adhering to our mask protocols over the past year as well as the most updated protocol. The safety of all is our top priority while adjusting our policies when appropriate. The struggle to bring back and hire staff is a challenge all hospitality segments face as the economy reopens, but the labor shortage is hitting full-service establishments like Wexford particularly hard. Our management team is working tirelessly to recruit new team members and also provide a variety of services to our membership. As we are experiencing extremely high levels of usage, we ask the membership to be patient as we face these nationwide staffing challenges across all departments. Patience, understanding, and kindness will be the bedrock of our success! The challenges we have faced together have been difficult, but our collective spirit and unwavering commitment to our Club, and each other, keeps our morale high and our focus centered on a better tomorrow.
