Godzilla

SAT AUG 30 // 10 PM // COMMONS With just enough human drama to anchor the sweeping spectacle of giant monsters smashing everything in sight, Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla satisfyingly restores the franchise’s fire-breathing glory. Catch this giant lizard on a giant screen in the Campus Commons.

Vanessa Bayer

FRI SEPT 5 // 10 PM // BLUU BALLROOM Vanessa Bayer is returning for her fourth season of “Saturday Night Live.” Bayer burst onto the scene during her debut season with her impersonation of Miley Cyrus in the wildly popular sketch, “The Miley Cyrus Show.” She has continued to wow audiences with her impressions of Hillary Clinton, Kourtney Kardashian and “Fox & Friends” host Gretchen Carlson, as well as her recurring characters Jacob the Bar Mitzvah Boy and the ditzy porn star-turned-aspiringpitchwoman Becky alongside Cecily Strong.

Edge Of Tomorrow

SAT SEPT 6 // 10 PM // COMMONS An officer finds himself caught in a time loop in a war with an alien race. His skills increase as he faces the same brutal combat scenarios, and his union with a Special Forces warrior gets him closer and closer to defeating the enemy. Gripping, well-acted, funny, and clever, Edge of Tomorrow offers entertaining proof that Tom Cruise is still more than capable of shouldering the weight of a blockbuster action thriller.

FRI SEPT 12 // 9 PM // FROG FOUNTAIN World famous Jabbawockeez continues to make their mark on the Las Vegas Strip with their show PRiSM at Luxor Las Vegas. They were voted “Best Family Show� by IN VEGAS Magazine, PRiSM celebrates imagination and takes you on a journey of dance, music and inspiration. The show is a dynamic mix of jawdropping, in-your-face choreography, lasers, heavy-hitting music, and stunning special effects, forming a production that challenges audiences to embrace the unexpected. Wearing their iconic white masks and combining their unrivaled dance style using intricate synchronized dance routines, the Jabbawockeez provoke audiences to see music, hear color, and feel alive!

SAT SEPT 13 // 10 PM // COMMONS After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don’t have to just crack the case - they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship. If these two overgrown adolescents can grow from freshmen into real men, college might be the best thing that ever happened to them.

Mat Kearney

FRI SEPT 19 // 10 PM // BLUU BALLROOM Born in Eugene, Oregon, singer/songwriter Mat Kearney began his musical career 400 miles south at the Chico branch of California State University. Kearney’s interesting blend of hip-hop and folk intrigued Inpop Records, which offered him the deal he’d been looking for and released his debut album, Bullet, in 2004. Kearney departed slightly from his rhymes and concentrated more on guitar work for his follow-up effort, Nothing Left to Lose. Released by Aware/Columbia Records in 2006, the album proved to be fairly popular, with three songs appearing in various episodes of Grey’s Anatomy and two songs enjoying successful runs as singles. Kearney returned three years later with City of Black & White, and in July 2011, he released Young Love on the Universal label, coinciding with a tour with Owl City.

Maleficent

SAT SEPT 20 // 10 PM // COMMONS Maleficent explores the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the classic “Sleeping Beauty” and the elements of her betrayal that ultimately turn her pure heart to stone. Driven by revenge and a fierce desire to protect the moors over which she presides, Maleficent cruelly places an irrevocable curse upon the human king’s newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Aurora is caught in the middle of the seething conflict between the forest kingdom she has grown to love and the human kingdom that holds her legacy. Maleficent realizes that Aurora may hold the key to peace in the land and is forced to take drastic actions that will change both worlds forever.

Anjelah Johnson

FRI SEPT 26 // 10 PM // BLUU BALLROOM Anjelah Johnson became an internet sensation with her viral video “Nail Salon,” which led to many stand up and performance opportunities. That same year she joined the cast of “MADtv” as a series regular, which spawned another internet sensation, “Bon Qui Qui,” for which she recorded and released 3 songs and 2 music videos. After this, Anjelah signed a record deal with Atlantic records to release a full album, which is now available on iTunes and YouTube. Anjelah has guest starred on shows such as The Shield and Curb Your Enthusiasm, all while traveling with her stand up comedy. In June 2009 Anjelah recorded her first onehour special for Comedy Central titled, “That’s How We Do It.” Her second one-hour special, “The Homecoming Show,” aired on NUVOtv in July of 2013 & is now available on DVD.

Tammy

SAT SEPT 27 // 10 PM // COMMONS Tammy is having a bad day. She’s totaled her clunker car, gotten fired from her thankless job at a greasy burger joint and, instead of finding comfort at home, finds her husband getting comfortable with the neighbor in her own house. It’s time to take her boom box and book it. The bad news is she’s broke and without wheels. The worse news is her grandma, Pearl is her only option [with a car, cash, and an itch to see Niagara Falls.] Not exactly the escape Tammy had in mind, but on the road, with grandma riding shotgun, it may be just what Tammy needs.

Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Pt. 1 & 2

SAT OCT 4 // 9 PM // BLUU AUDITORIUM In the epic finale, the battle between the good and evil forces of the wizarding world escalates into an all-out war. The stakes have never been higher and no one is safe. But it is Harry Potter who may be called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice as he draws closer to the climactic showdown with Lord Voldemort. It all ends here.

Guardians of the Galaxy

THU OCT 16 // 10 PM // BLUU AUDITORIUM After stealing a mysterious orb in the far reaches of outer space, Peter Quill is now the main target of a manhunt led by the villain known as Ronan the Accuser. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand-with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.

B.J. Novak

SAT OCT 18 // 10 PM // BLUU BALLROOM B.J. Novak is an American actor, stand-up comedian, screenwriter, author, and director. He is known for being a writer and co-executive producer of The Office, in which he played Ryan Howard, as well as appearing in Inglourious Basterds, Saving Mr. Banks, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Judah Friedlander

FRI OCT 24 // 10 PM // BLUU BALLROOM Judah Friedlander was a regular cast member on the Thursday night NBC hit comedy “30 Rock.” Judah has been in over 20 films including “Meet the Parents,” “Zoolander,” “Wet Hot American Summer,” and “American Splendor,” for which he was nominated for “Best Supporting Actor” at the Independent Spirit Awards. In his stand-up act, Judah is “The World Champion.” He’s a great athlete, gets tons of chicks and is a role model to children. And he’s better than you at everything.

Sex Tape

SAT OCT 25 // 10 PM // BLUU AUDITORIUM Jay and Annie are a married couple still very much in love, but ten years and two kids have cooled the passion. To get it back, they decide to make a video of themselves trying out every position in “The Joy Of Sex� in one marathon three-hour session. It seems like a great idea, until they discover that their most private video has gone public. In a panic, they begin a wild night of adventure all to reclaim their video, their reputation, their sanity, and most importantly, their marriage.

The Shining

SAT NOV 1 // 10 PM // COMMONS Jack Torrance becomes the caretaker of the Overlook Hotel in the secluded mountains of Colorado. Jack takes his wife and son to the hotel to keep him company throughout the long and isolated nights. During their stay strange things occur when Jack’s son Danny sees gruesome images powered by a force called “The Shining” and Jack is heavily affected by this. Along with writer’s block and the demons of the hotel haunting him Jack has a complete mental breakdown and the situation takes a sinister turn for the worse.


FRI NOV 7

Fred Armisen

FRI NOV 7 // 10 PM // BLUU BALLROOM Born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Fred Armisen pursued a career as a musician before his comedic breakthrough on Saturday Night Live. Fred became known for his wide-ranging impersonations on the show while simultaneously working in film on projects like The Rocker, Deck the Halls, and Easy A. He has also created and starred on the IFC series Portlandia. In 2014, it was revealed that Armisen returned to his roots when he was named bandleader on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Begin Again

SAT NOV 8 // 10 PM // BLUU AUDITORIUM Begin Again is a soul-stirring comedy about what happens when lost souls meet and make beautiful music together. Gretta and her long-time boyfriend Dave are college sweethearts and songwriting partners who decamp for New York when he lands a deal with a major label. But the trappings of his new-found fame soon tempt Dave to stray and lovelorn Gretta is left on her own. Her world takes a turn for the better when a disgraced record-label exec, stumbles upon her performing on an East Village stage and is immediately captivated by her talent. From this chance encounter emerges an enchanting portrait of a mutually transformative collaboration, set to the soundtrack of a summer in New York City.

Elf

SAT DEC 6 // 10 PM // BLUU AUDITORIUM For his sophomore stab at directing, actor/writer/director Jon Favreau, took on this holiday comedy starring Saturday Night Live-alumni, Will Ferrell. Ferrell stars as Buddy, a regular sized man who was raised as an elf by Santa Claus (Edward Asner). When the news is finally broken to Buddy that he’s not a real elf, he decides to head back to his place of birth, New York City, in search of his biological family. Elf also stars James Caan, Mary Steenburgen, Zooey Deschanel, and Bob Newhart.
