“On July 29, 2001, I did not put my pride aside.” Aaron Cooksey During his career as a college athlete, Aaron Cooksey suffered from an ACL injury that led him to a series of poor decisions. Culminating in the events on July 29th, 2001, this path of destruction resulted in the death of his best friend. Apart from four years in prison and his driver’s license being taken away for life, Aaron realized the nightmare had affected hundreds, and now thousands of people. Graduating from Walsh University in 2007 with a degree in Corporate Communications, Aaron has spent six years bringing alcohol awareness to hundreds of schools and organizations. He relives the details of that tragic day in an effort to educate others on the dangers of drinking and driving, and the hope that his message will save even just one individual.

** Special thanks to TCU Athletics, Residential Services, Fraternity & Sorority Life, and TCU Health Promotions—Campus Life Office for their support. **
