“Kindness” Kindness springs forth from every corner on Earth; From people living in the country or villages or cities rising to the sky, From young ones to elders and those in between, From every group of people each and every day, and yet… There needs to be even more kindness in the world to insure there is no room for injustice and there will always be someone to lend a hand to those in need. A big thank you, from Patricia Kother, to everyone who worked so hard on the lovely earth day posters displayed around the town!

“Lonesome Ways” Lonesome Roads Been driving lonesome roads forever By verdant farms on country byways. Hauling fresh produce straight to market, I treasure the farmers and those days. Lonesome Days Been digging in the mine forever Alone in the foothills of Langtree. Chipping gold nuggets for a living, So grateful for all it gave to me. Lonesome Waves Been fishing on vessels forever Out for months filling the hold With a crew who kept on working, Then were paid when the cargo sold. Every day while I was working I’d write songs for her and me. Worked my fingers to the bone To be a singer by sixty-three. It’s never, ever too late. jeffandmich67@gmail.com copyright c 2020 Jeff Salmon
