Page 3 DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE

Starting in September we will have every Monday night Country Line Dancing lessons. No need to have a partner, no need to be fit, or to be a good dancer. Just your enthusiasm and your sense of humour are required.

So what is coming up for Tagish ?

Tournaments ? Darts ? Cards ? Cribbage ? Bingo ? Live music night ? Training sessions ? Again, email me, come at the hall and let’s have a talk ! I wish to see you soon !

On the Wednesday starting at the end of September we will have Yoga sessions with Richard. A first session, the Introduction Level starting right after the Coffee & Chat, followed by a Beginner and Intermediate session. More details will be sent soon by email. October, November and December will be also busy. I invite you to have a look on the Page 5.

Do you know that at our next breakfast we will serve our own grown potatoes ? Not too sure if we will have time for the tomatoes but, it is what is it !

Did you were at the last Pancake Breakfast hosted by RPAY ? I would like to thank you all of you that took the time to have a talk with them. This was a real nice day for all of us..

On the Tuesday morning we have a new group temporary named (we are looking for an official name for this group) The Tagish Active Group. This group is lead by Tagish residents and will go for an outdoor activity, it can be for a bike ride, walk, hike, snowshoes, cross country skiing, kicksled or if the weather is not nice, it can be ping pong, pickle ball, carpet bowling, badminton, even exercises with a YouTube video coach could be one of the activity. This is an informal group that anyone can join on any Tuesday. No registration needed. You just show up at the Community Centre at 11 am. Louise Girard, Marie Rose and Bev Neukom are the 3 first leaders but we have room for more. You have an activity that you would like to share and to lead ? This group is running under the RHEAL program. Visit the https://rpay.ca/rheal leaders/ for more detail or stop by at the hall.

IVolunteeringneedtotalkabout this today. Do you know that we always need volunteers ? Volunteers are the back bone of our Community Centre. We are working to put together events, activities but we need you to make them happen. Even it is just a 1 hour here or there, this is priceless You would like to help in the kitchen ? at the bar ? to do preparation ? To do set up ? To clean out after an event ? You don’t have the experience but you would like to learn ? Volunteering is the perfect way to learn and a part of it. I need your input.

I am already thinking about the winter program. What you would like to see at the Community Centre ?
